|  UFC.com perges some fighters
So I was trying to remember Scott Smith's awesome KO and went to the UFC fighter page and oh - Scott Smith is gone. So then I thought, what about Yves Edwards and oh he is gone too. As is Riggs and well any other fighter that is now at another promotion. Yet they still keep Danny Abbadi on there. I know that UFC was only listing fights from their fighters in the UFC or WEC, but to just up and remove them is kinda interesting.

I'm a UFC fan, but this is exactly the sort of thing that makes some people hate them. It's this pettiness they tend to have towards anyone that leaves or they fell has disrespected them in some way. I understand not allowing them to carry endorsements for other orgs into the octogon or similar behavior, but to 'wipe out' a fighters association all together is just petty. For the premier org in MMA to act this way is a true shame. These guys got in the cage, put themselves in harms way for them, and they get no respect if they dare go somewhere else.

I just see that list as fighters currently under contract. Granted I know there are a few that aren't. But I consider it more or less the UFC roster.

I'm not suprised.
Nothing that Zuffa / UFC regarding their recent show of elitism should suprise anyone. They refuse to acknowledge any fighter or org they do not own.

Its not meant to be a complete roster of every MMA fighter ever. Its a list of UFC and WEC guys that some web page flunky thinks people will be interested it. Its not an outrage if they dont include fighters that are no longer in the UFC on some stupid list of fighters. Ken Shamrock isnt on there either, but its not due to elitism or pettiness or anything stupid like that. Its because hes not on their fucking roster.
Some people really just want to get upset at the UFC and arent going to let reality get in their way.

They still acknowledge Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn and Royce Gracie as Hall of Famers on the website.
They don't own them.....in fact, they all are fighting for different promotions now.

Baroni and Belfort are on there right? I remember seeing their profiles when they fought for PRIDE, so maybe it is just when the fighter goes to a different US Org.
