What exactly is he supposed to show? He fought Tank Abbott who's a below .500 fighter, overweight and is in his 40's. If he destroys him he beats the dude I just decribed and if he lost he loses to the guy I just described.

No sense in getting upset about something that happens just about every fight. | Randy Couture might have trained longer than Kimbo but he didn't step in the ring until he was 33 so just because he's 34 doesn't mean he's has NO chance. Kimbo needs to live and breath MMA for a long time until he has a chance against real competition but right now I have to agree he's not ready.

I didn't see the fight, so I'm not going to comment.
But seeing some of you say "I could beat Tank!" makes me laugh pretty hard. Hop on in and give it a go, I beg of you.

I want to see Kimbo fight someone with game.Alex Emelianenko would be a good test for him.If he won there would be no more nay sayers.Me included.
With all his street fighting experience I don't thing it would be too big a jump to fight Alex, who would stand with him. |
i disagree, I think Aleks would be WAY too big a jump for him right now. Aleks is a top ten if not top five striker in the HW division, Kimbo has a lot of potential but he needs too fight 4-5 solid fighters before even considering a top 10 guy. EXC will make sure this happens since he is there meal ticket, it will be quite some time before we see that kinda matchup. But a Ricco fight could be something that happens in the his next couple fights, I would be happy with that as opposed too bringing in Shammy, aside from the fact that its another lose-lose for Kimbo. Shammy would either catch a heel hook or get decaptitated.

this fight went just how every single one of us predicted it would. Kimbo by KO or TKO. The only person that thought tank could win that fight was tank. lol I think even Tanks trainers put in a 10k bet on kimbo lmao

Maybe i was thinking a bit more with my heart rather then my head but with Tank's punching power and Kimbo's untested chin, I thought there was a good chance of the Tankster pulling one out for the road. But if Kimbo had ever gotten in trouble, Gary Shaw probably would have cut the power or something. But yea we still really have no idea what kind of chin Mr. Clean T really has.
edit: Mr.Clean T is what Kimbo's friends call him, it refers too him being the bastard offspring of Mr.T and Mr.Clean.

Damn you guys sure like to hate on NEW fighters. Give Kimbo some props, he sure has a good boxing stance that looks freakin solid. Bas Rutten is really going to make this guy successful. Yea foreal give the dude a break. It would be stupid if he fought some one at high level and lose. A couple more fights to demonstrate his ground game and cardio are still needed for him to fight more legit fighters. But in the meantime, jus enjoy Kimbo woopin ass ! He proved that he can put on a show for a main event. My hats off to em

I dont get it. What is with the ridiculously high expectations for fighers with 1 or 2 pro fights? I dont think that just because you acheived some level of fame outside MMA that you should have to start your career against top competition. Just because a fighter might be a big draw and put asses in seats doesnt mean he should get thrown to the wolves immediatly.
