| *Spoiler* Kimbo showed me nothing!!!
OK guys, time for a reality check, tonights fight between Kimbo Slice and Tank Abbott showed me NOTHING!!! Did anyone really think that a 42 year old man, who was never a real Mixed Martial Artist, but only a fun side show to watch come out and swing away, would really give Kimbo a fight?
So after the fight, I had to sit there and listen to Goldberg, whose commentary is an absolute joke, talk about how legit Kimbo is after KOing Tank. Hell my 13 year old son was commenting on how slow Tank was, and how he telegraphed every punch. Lets face it Tank was there for a nice pay check, and hoping for a lucky knock out.
Now back to my Kimbo point, Yes he has heavy hands, and he is strong and quick, but there is no way he hangs in there with a top true Mixed Martial Artist in the Heavy Weight division. After the show they were talking about his next fight possibly being against Ken Shamrock... Ken Shamrock? Well another past his prime fighter, but definitely a huge step up from Tank... Why not put him against Ricco, or Silva? Each are very talented Heavy Weights, and both in my opinion would beat Kimbo.
But lets face it, Goldberg did say one thing. Kimbo puts asses in seats, so I guess Elite will keep throwing him cans for a while to make money off of him.
Final thoughts.... Kimbo showed me nothing!!!!

Kimbo's 34. They arent looking to make him the next great HW. If he was 10 years younger, sure. But not in his mid 30s. Both the people who promote him and Kimbo himself are just looking to make some money. Its the announcers job to claim that every winner is the greatest thing since sliced bread. No sense in getting upset about something that happens just about every fight.

I felt sorry for Tank. The big boob had no balance at all.Looks like he has walked no farther than from his bar stool to the bathroom in quite some time.
I still respect Tank for giving us some of the most brutal KOs the UFC has ever had to this date though.

Yeah, I agree about Tank being there just for the lucky ko and the paycheck. Kimbo has heavy hands. He pretty much laid Tank out twice.

I knew either way Kimbo would get no credit. If he loses its Oh my god he lost to Tank he cant be for real if he wins its ahh Tank is over the hill blah blah. Give the man his credit its a good win for his 2nd fight plain and simple

Put him in a gogo? Kimbo showed awesome movement in addition to the striking... The guy isn't the next greatest but he sure is looking like a serious competitor.
This thread is ridiculous.

I want to see Kimbo fight someone with game.Alex Emelianenko would be a good test for him.If he won there would be no more nay sayers.Me included.
With all his street fighting experience I don't thing it would be too big a jump to fight Alex, who would stand with him.

This thread is ridiculous. | Agreed, this is only his second fight, and just because people are calling lesnar future Champ doesnt mean you can tell what someone will do after their second fight. He ko's someone, someone who has been around, solid second win. Why would you throw him in with Ricco this early? The problem with that you tear down potential when you do that, everyone starts fighting cans, EVERYONE. You think ALI was fighting foreman in his third fight?
