The other possibility is that they're just talkin shit, and he'll re-sign at the last second. The problem is, Tito wants big money, and there aren't many big fights left in the UFC that make any sense (other than Machida and Evans). I guess Tito would make a good gatekeeper...up and comers could gain a lot of credibility beating the former dominant champ. But that's a lot of dough for a gatekeeper.

I wouldn't mind seeing Tito own Doug Marshall.
Still with Zuffa, no Dana

as much as i would like for TITO to go to the WEC and trounce The RHINO, i don't think he'll do it....he probably considers WEC the minor leagues
he'll go to ELITEXC, sucks cause i like TITO....yeah he's probably past his prime, but he's still a BIG DRAW.
i'm pretty sure most of the people here dissing him would buy a PPV with him fighting SHOGUN, RASHAD, FORREST, WANDY, etc.
i would.....

I wonder if we will see Tito vs Fedor... That would be fun, to watch Fedor break his arm.

he could be just talkin to gain publicity and leverage to sign a bigger contract but the only thing the UFC has to gain is his name in the headlines. He hasnt beat a decent fighter in years, he seemingly wont fight good competition and he also seems to think he is some kind of bad boy, no pun intended. at this point in his career he's a top 20 guy who wants top 2 money. not gonna happen if you ask me. yes he is a big draw due to his name but you have to beat better competition than ken shamrock to sustain such mystique.

If anything, he's looking for softer comp. W/ Fedor's recent track record, I'm sure he'd be glad to fight an over the hill former champ who's fighting above his weight class.

i would..... | sure i'd order one of those ppv's just to see shogun, wand and forrest fight. i would definately not order an event that was headlined w/ evans v ortiz. i saw that the first boring time it aired for 40 bucks.

This truly looks like this is the end of the road for Tito fighting for the UFC. I think that at this point in his career, he more concerned in pursing other options. He has been in the game for well over a decade, but I strongly believe that the competition has passed him up. He displayed this when fighting against Rashad Evans. Regardless though, he will still be a HUGE DRAW for any organization he fights for.
