If Shogun gets beat does he consider dropping down to MW? I think he should consider it IF he loses three in a row. He would be huge at MW! Lord knows the MW division could use him!

I met Chuck on Camp Pendleton at a book signing on Friday and he looked to be in really good shape. He definitely doesn't have the gut that he normally does, so hopefully his conditioning and the rest of his training will be even better than it was for the Wand fight. I told him to knock Shogun's head off and he got up and hugged my wife and asked us to hang around and gave us a bunch of free autographed stuff and took a bunch of pictures with us. Pretty cool experience. But back to my point he looks to be in really good shape right now.

Lets think about this:
Did Chuck not gas out against Rampage in their first fight?
Chuck got KOed very fast in his 2nd with rampage, Does bad conditioning have anything to do with backing up, hands down, chin up in the air, ugly as fuck body shot, and getting hit with a rediculously wide punch that Ray Charles could see coming? Nope thats called shitty technique. You would be retarded to think conditioning has anything to do with not knowing the most simple of boxing techniques.
Think to yourself real hard on this one, whens the last time we seen chuck fight an intense high activity fight? Im talking when chuck is pushing the pace and working hard in a fight. NEVER
you guys blame it on his bad training for 2 fights all you want, its simply not true. But keep eating up the bs, UFC is banking on morons like you.

He admitted to not training hard for the Rampage and Jardine fight. What do you want him to say? He faught a bad ass contest against Wand, no matter what you say and he looked fucking on the top of his game.

I didn't read through every page so I don't know if anyone mentioned that Lidell is Dana's "Dawg". So I can imagine chuck getting a title fight after beating shogun as not being too far fetched. Having Chuck in a title fight would draw NUMEROUS butts to the seats thats almost a guarantee.

Having Chuck in a title fight would draw NUMEROUS butts to the seats thats almost a guarantee. | The fact of the matter is that Chuck is the UFC's biggest draw at this point and any fight that he is a part of is a main event. If he beats Shogun, if he beats Shogun, not only will Dana grant him a titile fight but he will be one of the guys that deserves it. i'm glad you dont think that this scenario is too far fetched considering that he is one of the best LHW's of all time.
Chuck, at this point needs to prove his worth, and with a win over shogun will prove that he is still one of the top contenders @ LHW.

Bad training makes you fade earlier than you should, its not an excuse for two ass kickings from beginning to end. | amen

But one could argue, since chuck lost 2 in a row and shogun isnt exactly number 1 contender in the UFC(barring all previous PRIDE fights), that Chuck beating Shogun wouldn't be enough of a win to propel him into a title shot. Don't get me wrong, I want to see him in there fighting for the belt as well, I'm just saying it's feasable to think Chuck may need one more win to Jump over Jardine and the loser of Rampage/Forrest simply based on the fact that Shogun has flopped since coming to the UFC. No discredit to Shogun, he is a remarkable fighter. I think though that Dana will give him a shot if he beats Shogun definatively.
I think Shogun and Wand miss the head stomping. lol

As long as Rampage is Champion, Machida, Jardine, and a few others should get title fights before Chuck. Chuck shouldn't be mentioned in a title shot against Page until everyone else has had one. I like Chuck, he's one of my favorite fighters, but that's just how I see it.
I think Machida should get the next shot and if Chuck beats Shogun, then rematches and beats Jardine, then maybe he could be in line for a shot. Quote:

I had a feeling that they weren't pushing Chuck real hard in training because everyone was probably bowing down to him. Glad to see he's back training hard and has someone pushing him like a fighter not a rockstar.
