| Barnett eyeing Roger Gracie Quote:
Considered one of the best heavyweight fighters in the world, American Josh Barnett will finally be back in the rings. Since December of 2006, when he lost to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, the catch-wrestler has been only training, commentating on fights and doing Japanese pro-wrestling shows.
But Barnett’s time to fight has come. On March 5th the “Baby faced assassin” will face off against judoka and also-former Pride fighter Hidehiko Yoshida, who was initially said to be fighting Roger Gracie. However, Gracie was not forgotten and is being watched by a potential adversary: Josh Barnett.
“I’m anxious to fight Yoshida at Sengoku. I’ve already trained with him and we are friends. He’s a great fighter and excellent person. I will do my best to knock him out. I want to fight any strong fighter. I’d like to face Roger Gracie, because I want to beat someone from the Gracie family,” said the former Pride fighter to the official Sengoku site in Japanese.

We can hope...

As I stated before I believe Barnett is the best heavyweight in the world.
All he needs to do is to beat Fedor.
Then he comes he becomes arguably the best HW of all time, with wins over Randy Couture, Nog and Fedor..

Randy is what? 16-8 so why mention him as some great accomplishment?
Your best HW in the world lost all 3 of his fights to CroCop.
His win over Nog was a split decision and has since been avenged by Nog with a unanimous decision victory over Barnett.
And oh yeah, He tested positive after his victory over Captain don't honor his contract too.
Good? Yes.
Great? Sure.
The Best? Not yet...

Even if Barnett were to beat Fedor, I'm not even sure I'd consider him the best HW in the world, as he's got those losses to Cro Cop and Nog.

the truth is, the only person lined up to take Fedor's spot as numero uno is Nogueira.. but I don't think he will ever get passed Fedor.... someone ELSE will have to knock Fedor off the top, and Nog will slide in.

The Best? Not yet... | Look at his losses to Cro Cop, he suffered a shoulder injury in top position 1 minute that was his first loss, second loss a decision he was out-of-shape, then he went 15 minutes with Nog.
He had nothing left for Cro Cop, who here believes Cro Cop is a better fighter than Barnett?
He won Randy, just because he tested positive doesn't mean he wasn't going to win anyways look at Sherk anyone believes Sherk won because of steroids or because he took Franca down and layed and prayed for 5 rounds. There has been tons of fighters who tested positive and still loss this ain't Baseball steroids won't always help you.
I am saying if he beats Fedor he's number 1.
If he's not then who is?
