Penn vs. Gomi 2: Gomi would get ruined again IMO. Of course I never saw the big deal about Gomi in the first place so I'm a little biased. I just think Penn would really outclass him worse this time around. I see Penn via Sub late round 2.

Penn vs. GSP 2: I see Penn losing more decisively this time around by being outwrestled and pounded out, but not very quickly. I see GSP via TKO round 3.

Penn vs. Sherk: I think Sherk will put on more of a fight then people give him credit for but not much more. I see Penn via Sub round 2.

So you also don't agree that Sherk outstruck Diaz... then how did he win that fight?

The fight I watched, Sherk held his own striking and it was when GSP put Sherk on his back he did his damage. As far as the stand-up went in that fight went, GSP outstruck Sherk, but he in no way completely blasted him out of the water. GSP just did the smart thing and put Sherk on his back, which so far has been the only way to beat Sherk.

sherk is a poor mans hughes with a little better striking. pennshould handle him easily.

Dude, you are too much... on one hand you are saying GSP didn't decimate Sherk Standing and on the other you are making such a big deal about how you think Sherk totally outstruck Nick Diaz...

GSP destroyed SHerk standing on and on the ground... did you forget when he dropped Sherk in the first minute?

And when Sherk fought Diaz he threw strikes to try and set up takedowns and got stuffed everytime. You are making a big deal about Diaz eating punches but he always eats punches... that's just his style of boxing. I think what is more telling of that fight was how Diaz completely out grappled Sherk... he swept him several times and stuffed all but two of his td attempts...

Sure SHerk has good cardio and good sub defense although I wouldn't say he has finished a fighter worth a damn yet.

I'd say only guy who can give BJ run for his money in the LW division is Frank Edgar. I think what makes great athletes is combination of skills and perhaps moreso on their mentality. BJ goes out there knowing he can beat anyone and I sense the same thing on Edgar. He pretty much dominated everyone he's fought in the UFC with exception of Tyson Griffin. But that was Edgar's first fight in the UFC, right? I dont see anyone giving BJ trouble in the LW division. As far as WW division goes, GSP should be able to beat everyone. Fitch wont beat GSP, Hughes is done, Diego wont beat GSP...Who else is in WW right now? I feel like I am missing someone but whatever. In any case, I agree with people that say they both need at least two more wins before this becomes a possibility.
