| “The Celebrity Apprentice” Week 8: Tito Ortiz Halfway to the Finish Line Quote:
For the sixth time in eight weeks, UFC light heavyweight Tito Ortiz was part of a winning team on “The Celebrity Apprentice,” and he’s now outlasted half of the competition.
In Thursday’s episode of the NBC reality game show, host Donald Trump again rearranges the teams. With eight competitors left, Ortiz finds himself on a team with actor Stephen Baldwin, “The Apprentice” veteran Omarosa, and country star Trace Adkins.
The two teams are flown to QVC headquarters in Pennsylvania, and told to pick a product and pitch it on the home-shopping cable station for a 10-minute sales period. However, both teams want the combination stepladder/cart, and after losing a coin flip, Ortiz’s team settles for a lightweight versatile vacuum. While the opposition has actor/author Marilu Henner (the week’s project manager) — a QVC veteran barker — on air, Ortiz’s team choses for country-star Adkins to pitch to middle America.
Once on air, Henner’s pitch is enthusiastic — if not a little over-the-top and frantic. The cool, calm and collected Adkins, meanwhile, dazzles on air with his laid-back style. Ortiz, though, keeps a watchful eye on the live sales figures and isn’t optimistic about his team’s chances of winning.
In the end, though, the worries are all for naught. Ortiz’s team sells 716 units for $43,000, edging the opposition (which sells 703 units for just $35,000) to avoid a firing. By leading his team to victory, project manager Baldwin picks up an additional $20,000 for the Carol M. Baldwin Cancer Research Fund.
In the board room, gossip columnist Piers Morgan comes under fire — largely for taking a cheap shot at former boxing champ Lennox Lewis — but the ax ultimately falls on team leader Henner, who’s booted from the competition.

He's gonna lose soon - he hasn't done much, IMO.

For threads like this, there should be a mma or mma fighter in the media section or something. Just because i think there are a majority of people that want to talk about people actaully fighting or news on fights coming up.

These threads are fine because they involve MMA fighters. If this forum only discussed upcoming fights, there would be very little to talk about at times.
