I'm not with the Psychiatry industry - that's for sure. (I'm not a Scientologist either, btw.) Clear over-medication. It's like a crap-shoot. Horrible.

I don't know if any onf you have done coke or remember Len Bias the basketbal player that died after trying it once, but it is horrible for your heart while you are using it. Who knows how much he used it, but it is easy to do way too much and it doesn't matter how much- too much for one person is just a little for someone else.

Whether he was in a state where he was rational enough to decide to take the drug is one thing, but I am going to 100% blame himself for his death. I mean come on, could you really put away a shrink for administering normal drug combos when his patient is jacked up on blow. I think it is a no brainer. You are still responsible for the consequenses of your actions whether you are sober or not.
Just say no.

I have some pretty major misgivings with the psychiatry and in particular the pharmaceutical industry but in an acute psychotic state like what I suspect Ryan was in, I don't see any of the kinds of things in here that I think are inappropriate. These meds listed look like they have an intention of stabilizing hiim to see what needs to be done. I get more upset when they get someone in and they are in a crisis like this and they give him a bunch of long-term meds which the haliperidol could be but it can also be used for short action.

we also don't know what kind of medical history Ryan has here. He could have a long history of hospitalization or psychiatric problems that is very private. He may have undergone the same treatment in the past successfully many times. This to me is a situation we we only ever get th einformation that is released to create a stir but never the truth because so much of the information is his and his family's business. Lawyers like to paint pictures that make money.

That's understandable but they want to nail him for manslaughter? that's all wrong....according to the psychiatrist is is "routine" not sure how the law works there but please...heart failure after cocaine....it's not rocket science....his heart rate jumps to 220 while doing coke and they want to blame it on the prescription drugs instead..how convienent.
don't get me wrong this is tragic...but not manslaughter.
