I think Anderson will be able to give him a good feel for ground and pound as he can definetly do some damage and I hope that is what he uses him for.
And getting a good wrestler in his camp would also be something he should do for this fight as it would help him immensely against someone like Ortiz

I’m thinking about doing Wrestling, but I’m only thinking yet”,
| The dumbest thing Machida can do is underestimate Tito's wrestling. Keep training karate with a gi cause thats gonna pay dividends when Tito is on top of you lighting your face up.

first of all tito's takedowns are nothing of what they used to be, he didnt get any big take downs agaist rashad unless you count a single leg while titos pretty much full out laying face down, sokodjou looks kind of muscular too me as well so i think machida might have some expierience with stronger foes, don't forget he beat b.j and rich and two assasins. i bet the bank on the dragon

Meh. I may be in the minority on this one, but I'm going with Machida.
Not to discredit Tito's skills, but Machida is that guy that makes people look silly, and has yet to be truly outclassed by anyone I've seen. Tito is still good, but he's not what he once was.
Machida, probably by decision.

Machida is foolish to think he doesn't need to know wrestling. That was said like someone who doesn't see it as MMA but sees it more as having a style of martial arts that is superior to their fighting styles. That is a really outdated way to go into these kinds of fights and it has long been shown that it doesn't pay off. Machida.......humility means practicing wrestling. Pride means Tito ground and pounds you into embarrassment. Hmmmmmm.? I say Humility is preferable to embarrassment.

I agree though, it cant hurt him to work with a wrestler.

i think his grappling is just fine, he was able to sweep soko quite nicely and take him off his feet with a jab and sweep at the same time and to be 100% honest tito sucks off his back, theres no way tito is much stronger if at all then sokodjou and we all know how that turned out

soku is stronger than tito a better striker and got his ass handend to him tito has a chance but it`s real slim as machida is elusive and has good kicks and strikes and will keep tito guessing the whole time i have machida by unanimous decision or even rear naked choke tap out.

Wow, Machida is going to get stomped. I mean, bringing in Silva is great and all if you are about to fight Wandy or Liddell. But he isnt about to fight those guys, for the first time in his career he is fighting a guy that just wants to take him down and pound him out. I hope he does not think his BJJ is good enough to submit Oritz, cause guess what... it isnt. Tito does not get subbed and chances are Oritz's BJJ is better then Machida's BJJ. Machida should have brought in like some one with a good wrestling background like Couture, Sobral, or Liddell so he could learn some Takedown Defense. Instead he brings in Anderson Silva to train his striking when he is fighting a guy that ummmm, is not about to strike with him.
Well at least we wont have to see those stupid "UNDEFEATED" shirts anymore after this fight.
