fuck randy couture. i've washed my hands of him at this point. He is setting a horrible example for young mixed martial artists. When you are the Champ, YOU DEFEND YOUR TITLE. If he refuses the fight with big nog AGAIN, then he's nothing but a lousy disgrace imo.

I dont give a crap about the tension b/t randy and zuffa. if randy has that big of a problem with zuffa, he should honor his contract so he can be let go. it's not like he would keep the title anyway because we all know big nog would either choke him the fuck out or rip one of his arms off

I personally just think that Randy isn't taking other fights because he doesn't want to risk losing a fight and making his fight with fedor not making as much sense as it does right now. Which would cost him the large payday that he is after. Not trying to say randy is "ducking" big nog, I just think under these circumstances he doesn't want to risk losing and making all this for nothing.

IMO Very easy fix for all to end this: Agree to the Nog fight. If and only if he wins setup his finale fight with Fedor in the UFC Cage co-promoted with M1 in a neutral location broadcast through HDNet. All parties win through cross promotion and keeps this mess out of the courts

Randy isn't ducking Nog because he's afraid of him, it's more of a smart bussiness choice. It's no secret that Randy doesn't have that many fights left, if he took the fight vs Nog just to finish his contract and then move on to another org he would risk the importance of his fight against Fedor, it could still happen but it wouldn't mean nearly as much.

I'm sure if Randy fought Fedor and lost he wouldn't mind fighting Nog at all.

Couple of Points.....
1. If Randy signed a contract with HDNet (effective upon termination/completion of Zuffa contract), he is not taking this fight, or the next one, or the one after that. No way. He is DONE. He wouldn't want the possibility of losing before starting with HDNet. Would ruin his standing the minute he started.
2. The court system, wherever they will be deciding this (Texas?), needs to be extremely careful in what they decide. They will be setting a precedent for future occurrences of this matter. Can you imagine the fighters who are champs today just deciding that they aren't going to finish out their contracts? Don't think it can't/won't happen? Did you think Couture was capable of this shit 6 months ago?

couture FEARS big nog. He fears him for the fact that he KNOWS Nog could be a definite setback for fighting fedor. Randy wont go much longer in the sport imo. I think he wants to fight fedor and then retire..He has stated publicly that he has no interest in fighting anyone other than Fedor, so i guarantee you he has no intentions of fighting big nog unless he got a shot at fedor and lost. nog would whoop his ass, dude. once it hit the ground, it's all nog

At this point it would be really nice if Couture and the UFC could work out a deal that if Randy excepted the fight he could be released from the rest of his contract afterwards. That way he we could see him fight Big Nog and then Fedor a few months later. However, I doubt that would happen.
