On the topic, I don't see any problem at all with Fitch getting the next shot. He may not have looked too impressive in his last two wins, but Karo stopped looking impressive even before that.

Fitch has been more compliant, and has stayed quiet (until sat night) about the fights the UFC has put him in. Unfortunately, politics plays a part in these things, and Fitch is the "team guy". Karo's got a big mouth, and I guarantee that it rubs Dana wrong when fighters try to tell him what to do.
So Fitch will get the title shot, and Karo will have to win at least one more time (Marcus Davis?). If Fitch does win the title, then the question will be whether Serra/GSP gets a rematch. Meanwhile, Karo has to keep winning (impressively) to stay in the picture.
As much as I hate to say it, I have a sinking feeling that the Heat will never get his shot in the UFC. I don't know what his contract status is, but if I were Karo, I'd be keeping a close eye on what's going on over at EliteXC.

Karo'll probably get Kos or something like that.

Karo spends way too much time crying about the title shot that he was owed from back in the day. That was fucking years ago. If he starts manning up and destroying guys like he should then he'll get a shot. The bottom line is that while Dana has the final say on title shots, the people who watch MMA have the power to sway those matches to particular fighters. If Karo had 6 finishes and 1 decision instead of the other way around then there's no way that he wouldn't be next in line for a shot at the strap.

With Karo fighting soon, I'm a little upset that Dana would go ahead and anoit Fitch as the #1.
I don't want to debate the resumes again, although I think Karo has been in with better comp. The fact of the matter is that Karo never got to cash his last title shot, and now that he's on the doorstep again, its been stripped yet again.
Fitch is deserving, there is no denying that. But Karo deserves the next shot (if he wins his next bout).

Karo is going to get knocked out by Thiago, so i dont see why everyone is whining already.

Everyone who is over the Fitch bandwagon got rep'd.
I am so over this guy. I like to watch Karo fight because of the Judo throws but I think his attitude leaves much to be desired. I will laugh when GSP handles Fitch the same as he did Kos. I am sure it will happen sooner or later so I will call it loud now. WAR GSP!!!

karo should just step up and challenge fitch for the title shot after he wins against alves. it would close the door on who's the #1 contender.

Of all the decisions the UFC could have made, this one is at least reasonable. One could easily argue (and many already have) about why Fitch or Karo deserve the fight over the other. The simple fact is, they have both earned it but only one gets it...and Dana went with Fitch.
Now if they had come out and said something stupid like Marcus Davis was next in line, then we'd have a problem. But I'm fine with either Karo or Fitch getting it (although it does kind of suck for Karo).
