| Sugar and Ice and everything nice: Rashad to replace Shogun against Chuck
nice pun, huh? that was all mine. but here's the source for the info: Breaking News: Evans Tabbed to Fight Liddell Quote:
Rashad Evans (Pictures) is expected to fight Chuck Liddell (Pictures) June 7 in London, England, Sherdog.com confirmed Wednesday.
The light heavyweight bout came together just one day after the UFC announced Mauricio Rua (Pictures) pulled out of the fight against Liddell (21-5) because of a ruptured ACL in his left knee.
Following losses to Quinton Jackson (Pictures) and Keith Jardine (Pictures), Liddell, 38, righted his ship with a decision win over Wanderlei Silva (Pictures) in late December.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Evans' last appearance in the Octagon saw him draw Tito Ortiz (Pictures) after three rounds. Evans is unbeaten in the UFC and sports an overall record of 11-0-1.
Evans had been rumored to fight Brazilian Thiago Silva (Pictures) May 24 in Las Vegas as part of the UFC 84 card.
| i'd rather chuck fight thiago, but this is a good sub still.

And yeah. Kudo's for the creative title. I like those.

this should be a good test for rashad, and he would have to fight a smart fight to stand a chance, but i would still take chuck rd 2 tko, he owns wrestlers.

that was my first prediction... that they might cancel rashad/thiago and have one of them fight chuck. If this is true, thiago got shafted big time!

i can think of two reasons they tagged Rashad to fight Chuck rather then Thiago...Name Fighter and Main Event Exposure.
still not everyone knows who Silva is, and almost everyone knows who Rashad is. Plus, albeit a shitty main event, Rashad has been there several times. plus the whole "being a TUF winner thing"...
with all that being said, i hope Liddell POUNDS Rashad, and sends him down to 185 where he belongs! but should Chuck get a title shot after this fight...NO! if Forrest beats Rampage then maybe, but Chuck does not deserve another fight with Rampage no matter how many fights he wins IMO.

I really hope Chuck knocks the living shit out of Rashad. Stylistically...Chuck should obliterate Rashad. Rashad's stand up isn't as good and he's not taking Chuck down....But...We've seen crazier things....Good find though...Thanks...
Boy do I hope Rashad gets KTFO.

I like Rashad. But man, I don't see how he's gonna not get ktfo.
Does Rashad have "Monkey dancing leg-kicking mma fu" like Jardine?
