| Hughes: “Henderson fought out of shape” Quote:
Matt Hughes was never one of those mild mannered athletes, who only respond with the bare minimum to reporters, praising their adversaries and adopting a humble tone. Much to the contrary, the wrestler has always been famous for causing controversy, grudges throughout his years in the UFC.
The fighter, who was one of the most dominant champions (welterweight division) in the history of the American organization, was convincingly defeated for the second time by Canadian Georges Saint-Pierre at UFC 79. Always confident about his talent and technique, the Pat Miletich student awaits an adversary, as his path to winning back the title once belonging to him is a long one and he is still not thinking of retirement. Hughes was present at UFC 82 in Ohio, and commented on the event’s main event according to his style.
“I think that, if Henderson had been in shape, he would have lasted longer. I don’t know why someone would go in to a title dispute out of shape and unready to go fight rounds. Anderson sees tough, but again, I saw holes in his game,” Matt provoked.

I think Hendo is on shape that night, he is just getting aged now.

Yah, and i would see Holes in Hughe's face from Silva's knees. I would love to see Silva walk through Hughe's and then see if he says he was out of shape. I think Hendo lasted onger in his fight then Matt lasted in his fight with GSP, I might be mistaken I am going to check that out.

Good find.
Hughes is barking up the wrong tree(s)
Theres enough guys at WW that can beat the hell out of him these days. He needs to quit worrying about Anderson's "holes" and if Hendo is out of shape. Out of shape or not, Silva was the better man that night. My guess is that it won't be their only meeting...But irregardless...It seems like Hughes like to poke at Silva and is in his own way clamoring for a match with the Spider.

What? He looked in great shape to me and I really doubt Hendo would half ass anything, especially his training going into a fight with Anderson Silva. Hughes needs to just shut it and worry about his own career.
So absurd.

Im back. I am wrong Matt Hughes did last longer then Hendo, so he does get the bragging rights. Here are the official times.
Courtesy of Source: UFC 82 Results, UFC News, UFC Forums, UFC Results, UFC Fight Coverage, UFC Rumors - MMANEWS.COM
Georges St. Pierre def. Matt Hughes via Submission (armbar) at 4:54 of Round 2.
Silva retains the middleweight crown at 4:52 of the second.
So apprearently Hughes was in much better shape. The whole 2seconds it took GSP to do that kick ass hip toss sealed it for Matt.

what's a f*ckin fool, and everybody hates on Serra cuz he talks nd f*cks w hughes....well THIS IS WHY people, he is the typical jock/bully/ douche bag that I love to see when he gets f*cked up.
Although they have completly different styles.....Hendo would f*ck Hughes up 98 times out of 100. He hits ALOT harder, has better boxing, better clinchwork, better ground work, prob even jits and alot better of a chin.
For hughes to say that bullshit bout hendo the ONLY guy to hold 2 belts in 2 diff weight classes EVER is completly ridiculous....

I'll believe it when I hear it from Hendo. Until then, it's just gossip.

Le Douche. Hughes, Martin and Leben are 1-2-3 in P4P horseshit.
