I had the the Kongo fight a draw, or a Kongo win. That fight did not impress me enough to think he should challenge for a title anytime soon, sayin that he looked like he was in the best shape in years, and thats the problem Herring at his beat just squeaked by Kongo. | guessing ur not much of a Heath fan...lol

Also beating Imes and a close decision win over Kongo just doesn't cut it.
I say he beats Mir and Sylvia then he should get a shot..

GSP said that he obviously doesnt eat fast food or anything unhealthy like that
just means that he gets to go to a restaurant and eat a real meal, like a steak and some veggies, instead of fuckin' baby food and a protein shake like Sherk
diet makes you lighter and in better shape, but for a HW, its a little harder to tell them to stay away from having some McDonalds during camp, because they dont have to make weight

Combine that with all the training and most likely a good metabolism and it's easy to see how he keeps such a low body fat %.

I think Herring is a valued additon to the UFC heavyweight divison. I would like to see his striking improve though, beyond the few good shots he landed on Nog and Kongo. He should probably have a few more fights before he tries to take on Nog again.

Saturday was a HUGE win for Herring IMO. However, I do agree that he needs 2-3 more big wins vs. top 5 HW before I start campaigning for his title shot. I thought he looked good Saturday and I personally thought he did enough to win.
**side note**
Herring was very, very cool. Very fan friendly and for me that goes a long way. Arlovski, however, was a dick.

ive always been a fan of herring, ive enjoyed his last few ufc fights.
now on the topic of him being on a diet for the first time in his career... the idiot announced at the end of his fight that he wanted to do a freaking BEER tour to afghanistan or wherever.... a restricted diet for heath herring is switching from bud to bud light...... hes a beer and steak guy, you can tell just by looking at him.

Heath really looked great against Kongo but Big nog and Kongo are on completely different levels skill wise. I love heath but I see the outcome the same everytime. I could be wrong though.........

Some kind of state/birthright law or some sh*t. They still hang people down there, so he gives up steak and beer, he's a dead man.
Im kidding.
