They both have advantages and disadvantages. I personally like the ring cause if UFC were in a ring they could allow knees stomps and kicks on the ground. Rogan said at one UFC thats the reason they can't do it cause of the cage the fighters have nowhere to go to avoid them thus further risking serious injury.

I gotta go with the cage it's just awesome to watch like when matt slammed carlos newton with that powerbomb type move if he didn't have the cage to prop him up on it would not have happened. So i've got to go with the cage

They do slams in the ring at Pride also, but it requires more strength.

Default i'll go with cage

hmmmmmmmm I am on the fence about this one..... I love to see pride matches in a ring but I also love to watch UFC in the cage, I just don't know. The ring causes all sorts of problems that a cage doesn't, man I don't know i'll go with cage

Cage. It gives a different look than boxing and wrestling.

They're not allowed to use the phrase "Octogon" when referring to a cage.

I see, so they could use the octagon, but they have to refer to it as a cage or Dana takes um to court.

Where if the cage was not there they would have gotten their ass handed to them. Also people can hold on to the cage and cheat so they cant be taken to the ground....I know it is against the rules but how often do you see anything really happen because of it??? I don't think you get to see the better fighter all the time because of the cage. So again I pick the Ring. They restart Cage matches all the time too so I don't think thats valid enough of a point.

I SEE MORE PEOPLE GRABBING THE ROPES THAN I SEE PEOPLE GRABBING THE CAGE AND THEY DONT RESART ALOT IN THE CAGE ONLY WHEN THE FIGHT IS BORING, IN THE PRIDE RING MATCHES ARE RESTARTED IN THE CENTER ALL THE TIME AND IT BUGS THE HELL OUT OF ME... AND HOW DOES A CAGE GIVE SOMEONE A WHIEGHT ADVANTEGE...???

I GO WITH THE CAGE

Definitly cage. With a ring, people can use the ropes for an advantage, and that just wouldn't be cool.
