Default Ring or Cage ?

In the Future there is going to be one huge org that has all the best fighters, what would you rather see them fight in Ring or Cage ? I say Ring, It's orginal and alot of the fighters say it's better

My biggest complaint about the ring is when the fighters get tangled up in it. one of two things happens either a fighter is at a disadvantage and can't protect himself or they get reset in the middle of the ring AND THE CLOCK STILL RUNS. I hate that I have watched to many fights where a fighter gets a breather or wastes time getting back into position and 15-20 seconds tick off the clock. Pisses me off to no end.

I like the cage. It's what mma originated in and it sets mma apart from boxing and wrestling.Plus the cage looks better than a ring.Plus like Mastiff said with a cage you don't have to have restarts all the time.

i gotta go with the cage. the pride ring works cause its in that gigantic stadium, but in smaller venues it looks kinda awkward. the cage is most always a good one. i just wish the cages looked more uniform in each promotion, there's the 5 sided, 6 sided, the octagon, WFA has a circle. its like after UFC patented the Octagon, each promotion is trying to make a statement with their cage.

Yeah, there is something about the cage that really gives it that "Gladiator" feel.

pancrase and shooto were around before UFC, and both are in a ring

but i do agree, restarts are ridiculous (saku/smirnovas anyone?)

but thats the price you pay when you take away the DIVING TURTLE takedown, and just shoving someone into the fence and looking for an elbow to cut and win.

i wish there was a way for them to fight on like a 50 foot ring, with so much room, ropes and cage walls wouldnt bea problem

I think I remember that other organizations aren't allowed to use the octagon. It belongs to the UFC. Anybody else remember anything about that?
