There’s been more than one message board in the MMA cyber world with posts claiming some pretty disappointing news. The rumor - and it is just that right now - is that DREAM officials are talking about Cro Cop fighting at DREAM 3…against Hong-Man Choi. The posters have been saying that the press in Japan are backing up these claims. Shit. That would suck more than enough ass.

If this shit happens, it won’t go to the mat unless HMC falls on top of Cro Cop like he did against Fedor. Neither guy has much by way of a ground game, so it’d probably amount to some low kicks to the Techno Goliath’s legs until he toppled. DREAM could certainly do better than this, but the Japanese seem insistant on making Hong-Man Choi an MMA star. Sure, it’s business and you need viewers. The ratings for DREAM 1 reportedly blew and HMC versus Crop Cop could bring in the Japanese viewers. Good for DREAM, bad for us.

Ratings aside, let’s hope this one doesn’t materialize and Cro Cop gets a solid test for his next fight. But if this is to be believed, I’m going to go drink myself into a coma. It is St. Patty’s Day afterall.

I guess if I say Fedor, Cro Cop, and Couture are going to have a triple thret match, Cage Potato will post it.

I enjoy Cagepotato alot and I find it a quality site. I haven't seen them post to many false stories. They never said this fight was happening they posted it because a rumor. It's their job to post rumors and MMA news.

I actually would like to see HMC again.
The fight against Fedor was total BS! No knees and No Kicks were the rules for that fight. Which takes "ALL" advantages away from HMC.

Since HMC is a kick boxer, with his size, allowed he could kick... should be able to knock your head off with his "low" kicks...LoL

I look forward into seeing HMC kick box in mma.

call me crazy but if this fight happends, ill take hong man by tko. fedor was in some huge trouble if he didnt pull out that armbar. the fight didnt last long and fedor was bruised and cut. cro cop doesnt have the submission skills of fedor. i think if hong man gets in close and he can punish cro cop with his power.

I see HMC beating Cro Cops ass. If he can just grab him and fall on him (like he did with Fedor), Mirkos screwed. No way he's pulling an arm bar off like Fedor did. If gets on top and lands a couple shots its over. Remember what Fedors face looked like after a couple shots?

I dont see this fight happening for the simple reason DREAM dont have many really big stars at the moment. Putting argubly their biggest names against each other wouldnt make sense right now. They perhaps would have this fight in the future after they build up HMC and get a few more ppv's out of cro cop....

And if this did happen i see CC having big trouble, i would say HMC by dec. All he has to do is get close enough to grab him and CC is his for every round. LNP like you have never seen. Hopefully not GNP for crocops sake....
