Will Chris Leben make it to the top? To the top of a hooker maybe. He'd have to seriously change some things about his striking which, judging by his post-Silva fight, he hasn't. You would think after the Silva loss he would have taken a bit of time away from the octagon to do so. Instead he seemed to just want to get back in there and erase the memory of that fight by beating someone else. He needs to improve in every aspect of the fight game if he's ever going to make it to the top.

Leben is a joke ,Silva a world class striker hummm.. he looked world class against Leben I think he is a very good striker, Rich Fraklin is harder puncher than Silva.

Please TUF fanboys these guys you see weekly are not the best fighters in the world not even in the U.S..

I think Diego Sanchez has the best chance become a UFC champ first from all the winners on TUF and even has holes in his game, namely stand-up.

Leben will lose again if they put him up a ok fighter.

I agree with everything except the part about Diego, I think it's Rashaad Evans who has the best chance to become champ.

Silva has ALWAYS been a world class striker bro from his Muay Thai resume just because he tooled Leben doesnt mean that it was Lebens bad strikin that made silva look good.. Silva is just THAT GOOD, Franklin may be a harder puncher but Silva is a much much better boxer with a better chin.

Leben has heart, but neither the maturity or the skillset to ever be a middleweight contender. He hasn't beat anyone approaching contender status; the only serious challenge he has faced is Anderson Silva, and we all know how that one turned out. I predicted Silva would clobber him, but I was still shocked by the pin-point destruction I witnessed.
Unfortunately for the more discriminating fight fans, Leben seems like a sentimental favorite for a lot of people and will probably be put on numerous main cards against unworthy competition in the coming months.

TUF fighters, up until this season, are not supposed to be contenders. They are fighters that need developing, thats the whole damn point.

Leben has been fighting professionally for 4 years and has only really gotten serious about his training after the TUF show. He's only 26 and has some time yet to develop, don't write him off so quick. If you look at his record he has had some impressive wins considering he's was a developing fighter and won them more on raw talent than anything.

The point of him getting back in the ring so quickly after the loss to Silva was for confidence. Critical in the fight game.

I think Leben is gatekeeper kinda guy. He is exciting, has good talent and decent skills. I do think he can have a succefull carrier as profesional fighter but I he's a championship material.

EDIT: that was supposed to be *NOT* champinship material

I think Lebens problem is he tries to brawl his way through fights. Once he stops doing that and starts thinking about his fights he will drastically improve.
