is whitehead good? i only saw his TUF fight and his fight against Jardine and he didn't look impressive, but i've heard a lot of people say he's really good and his record is pretty good. did he just freeze in UFC or is he one of those on-again/off-again fighters?

I haven't seen much of him except in the UFC and he wasn't very impressive. He supposedly had a staph infection during his TUF2 fight so that might explain his poor performance ,but even so I'm not that impressed by him.Kerr certainly has better wrestling credentials and that's why I think he should be able to win this fight.

I meant that I heard that he got off the drugs.I don't know if it's true or not ,but I was reading an article awhile back from mmaweekly that said he straightened his life out in those regards.

Thanks Luis and Thebranman. What a shame. Damn, I've personally known so many people who have f'ed up their lives with drugs. Makes you feel angry and helpless at the same time.

Yea it was probably pretty long ago you read that because i'm talking recently. He was clean for a while. Right now i think Whitehead would beat him without much problems, i doubt it even happens.

Well i just got it confirmed, it's definately true. But with Kerr you never know, especially with that last thing he pulled with his last bout against Wes Sims where he pulled out that day about an hour before he was suppose to fight. I still have my doubts on this happening but we'll see later this year i guess. He better come at about 225-230lbs at least or somethings wrong. Both of these guys are cool though, i'll wait until later to make a prediction as of now i lean with Whitehead. Oh on a side note i'm glad to see IFL getting some other names involved, they gotta start somewhere.

The Smashing Machine is one of my favorite documentaries, and anyone who has seen it knows why there is so much support for Mark Kerr. The guy is a class act, despite his problems. And if he hadn't gotten messed up, he could've gone on to be the best ground and pound practicioner ever.

I hope he comes back in decent form, even if it isn't likely to happen.

Luis Cruz: Do you know if he is still with the girlfriend from the documentary? She seemed to be the catalyst for a lot of the dude's problems.

I'm not sure if it's the same one but he's been with the one he's with for a while so it might be her. But i won't get into his personal life too much, if you look around and find the video of the IFL post fight event from April (lots of people were talking about it), you'll see something not too classy.
