| I Praise to god that Penn wins tonight
im sick and sick and sick and tired of Hughes fans and supporters just saying that Hughes underestimated him and will win this fight I understand saying Hughes will win cuz its not like it is out of the question, Hughes has a real real good chance of winning but why must we shrug Penn off like that? that is so disrespectful IMO to just say that Hughes underestimated Penn.. GIVE B.J. PENN HIS CREDIT he is the more talented fighter, and thats why he won Hughes couldnt of beaten BJ Penn on that night underestimated him or not, the better man won regardless.. and tonight the better man should win again which is BJ Penn it is a fight that HE SHOULD WIN but can lose.. we'll see what happens but damn give Penn some fuckin credit in that first fight.
Which brings me to another topic, everytime theres a rematch why do fans of a certain fighter have to say a fighters improved and thats why they'll win the rematch? I dont understand this logic you cant just say a fighters improved and he'll win without any proof and you cant just assume that the other fighter didnt improve why does that logic even work? ill use Hughes/Penn as an example
I got people telling me that Hughes submission defense and fighting tatics have improved from the first fight WHERE IS THE PROOF? and why would this make a difference? Ok his submission defense has improved so this means that a Top 3 JJ fighter in MMA wont submit him? overall, its gettin annoying that fans of a certain fighter love to make up BS about that fighter just so they can say that he'll win the fight.. I honestly think its one of the biggest cons among MMA fans and thats one of the biggest drawbacks of MMA being a mixed sport.

Afro, you already know I'm rooting for Hughes, but I'm sure not so stupid to think that BJ couldn't beat him. There's no doubt that BJ is talented.
But I'm just as tired of hearing about how BJ could only lose if he gasses or isn't training enough. That's no different than people saying that Hughes lost the first time because he underestimated Penn.

I actually never sene BJ gas, the Pulver fight.. Pulver was takin him down, strikin with him, givin him hell and he went 5 rounds thats why I dont think Hughes is gonna make Penn gas.
OH I stand corrected, I didnt think Penn came in the best shape against GSP but he was in good shape and I really cant say that his A Game wasnt there I think GSP beat him fair and square but it was damn damn close.
But BJ Penn is kinda notorious for not takin MMA seriously, I just never seen it lose him a fight.. I do believe we will see A-Game Penn tonight thats why I say its a fight he should win cuz its a god darn awful matchup for Hughes
Penn knows how to handle wrestlers hes fought a lot of them in the pass, his submission game is much better, and his striking is much better then Hughes
we will see A-game Hughes as always, Hughes is always at the top of his game and if he wins which he definently can then everyone has to take there hatoff to him it would be the biggest win of his career IMO. Quote: |
