Yves Edwards, Hermes Franca, and Jens Pulver are fighting in the UFC for starters. That's an excellent title contender base to begin with. Sean Sherk just dropped down and if he keeps up the sort of success he had at 170, then he too is added to the top contender list (or becomes champion at UFC 62). Spencer Fisher is right at the cusp of being considered one of the top LWs in the world, and Kenny Florian just proved he was a force to be reckoned with by virtue of his almost Royce-like dismantling of Sam Stout. Asides from that, there are guys like Stout, Melvin Guillard, Mark Hominick, and Jorge Gurgel who are already signed to try to fight their way towards the top, and potential new contenders outside the UFC like Gilbert Melendez, Urijah Faber, and hopefully, Genki Sudo. No, I think the LW division can challenge UFCs MW division as the second-most talented division in the organization, and it's only been around a few months. That is impressive.

I think the UFC is definatly serious about the LW division....they have alot of great talent now and they just brought it back...it's only going to get better....bringing the title into the picture will also make it bigger which may be the reason for the belt being added so early

What I did say was that LW and MW are nearly even as the second most talented division, implying that I think WW is the best, deepest, most talented division.
