i'm not sure how anyone sees franklin as overrated. He is a top MW and anyone w/ a belt from a major org, especially someone who has had one from the UFC or PRIDE at the time, is always in contention for a top spot in their division. IMO, Franklin beats Filho, has a war w/ Hendo and an entertaining fight w/ Linland; not necessarily winning them all but why would he not be a top 5 guy for that?

But i guess well see how good his takedown d and jiujitsu d is tomm nite.
WAR FRANKLIN!!!!!

He was doing half way decent against Anderson until that triangle choke from hell and all those elbows. | Yeah but Okami's stand up just isn't up there with guys like Nate Quarry, who Rich knocked out. Ever since his losses to Anderson he seems more tentative, I think he's lost a little of that drive he use to have.
Rich is a good righter but I hope Lutter takes it.

I wouldn't say Franklin is over-rated. He is a solid fighter, good in all areas of MMA. He has only lost to Silva and Machida. Silva is the best in the MW division and Machida is one of the top LHW's.
He hasn't exactly lost to chumps.
I wouldn't call him over-rated.

I just watched his fight with Machida and unfortunately it was only the 2nd round. From what I saw I think Franklin could definitely take Machida in a rematch but then again I might change my mind once I get to see the 1st round. He leaned into a kick just like Nog and Heath but unlike Heath Machida pounced on Franklin.

Rich is a good righter but I hope Lutter takes it. | And I forgot about the Jason McDonald fight who he had stopped. He beat Jason McDonald when Jason McDonald was upsetting fighters. I still don't see him as being tentative. Maybe in the 2 fights with Anderson but you would be too if the guy crushed your face with knee after knee. I'll admit, the fight with Okami was slow paced but Okami (as boring as he is to watch), has very good defense of everything. Tonight with Lutter will tell. On one hand, I hope Rich destroys Lutter to make a point, on the other, I would rather it be close because I like Lutter and him getting beaten early would probably throw him back in the prelims or out of the UFC all together.

Franklin did good in the stand up and he is better now than he was then. Franklin's good enough on the ground to hold his own and I think Franklin wins in the stand up. After watching Machida's recent fights I think Franklin takes the rematch. IMO
