I'm all for Nate Quarry getting praise, he is a solid fighter and apparently a funny guy. But It's easy to look amazing when you're the only one fighting.

MacDonald, I honestly haven't watched the prelim fights yet but after Okami he could be a guy who's name gets thrown around to fight Silva if he keeps winning

Maia , Same as above but a win over Ed Herman is impressive

Day, this shocked me and I'm sure Day is no where in the league of an Anderson Silva
If I was making the matches based on what we saw last night... it would be the following:

Silva vs. Okami

Franklin vs. Hendo

Marquardt vs.Leites (UFC 85??? happening sometime around then already)

Quarry vs. Kampann (assuming he gets past Rivera)

Bisping vs. Leben (that one could be exciting)

Day vs. Grove/Tanner winner

Maia vs. Lister (that would be an amazing fight...I think Maia could break Lister's streak of never being subbed in a mma fight)

Almeida vs. MacDonald

Lutter vs. Starnes

Just for fun I think those would be some great match ups to kind of sort out the MW division and see where everyone stands.

Albeit...that doesn't answer your question...but out of those matches i'd say the Franklin v Hendo winner or the Quarry v Kampmann winner would be up there in terms of a title shot....jmho

- Hironoka/goulet was great,
- Morris/valasquez was great
- Stout and Clementi was a war
- MacDonald/Doerkson was a real show of heart especially from macdonald
- Maia/Herman.. solid show of BJJ from maia and a great ending
- Day/Belcher... Day just overwhelmed him.. even from his back and standing. Really great fight from day.
- Bocek/Danzig was ok to good, I was a little disappointed with Danzig's showing but oh well he secured a RNC against a good BJJ grappler.
- Bisping and mccarthy was really good and good striking from bisping
- Quarry/Starnes wasn't good but that was really starnes' fault... oh well still got entertained by quarry's shenanigans at the end
- Franklin/Lutter was really good as well
- GSP/Serra... I loved it but thats a more personal bias.

There was a lot of great fights!!!!

I actually don't doubt that Silva/Franklin III could eventually get made, but Franklin's gonna have to earn his title shot the hard way. If he goes through everyone, especially Henderson, then he gets his third crack at the monster. Other than that, it's a crap shoot. Bisping'll probably get a shot sooner rather than later if keeps impressing, and I could totally see that going down on one of the next couple UK UFC cards in the future. With Silva's history there, it's a can't miss fight to make.

By the way, Bisping would KILL Leben. Not quite like Silva did, but it would be prolonged, vicious, and one that leaves ol' Chris quite busted up. Then again, Leben does have a puncher's chance, but I think Bisping is a pretty safe choice to knock Leben out.

Franklin/Hendo should marinate a little longer. Let 'em fight on the same card, get their profiles back up, then have the fight on a Silva undercard against whoever his challenger is. Just my humble opinion. Of course, a fight immediately makes for a great crossroads fight storyline.

Other than that, Dana and the UFC will just have to see who's able to show he belongs at the top of the heap during their round robin. Right now, it appears to be Okami. Sure, he's not a big name, but not every title defense has to involve two superstars.
