| Belfort vs. Randleman at Sengoku 2? Quote: |
Vitor Belfort Boxing coach, Josuel Distak, reveal to TATAME.com the new plans of the ex-UFC champion at MMA. Without fighting since September at Cage Rage 23, where he defeated James Zikic at judge’s decision and become the event champion, Vitor can face the American Kevin Randleman. “We are training hard and Belfort is close to a deal to face Kevin Randleman at Japan or at Pro Elite in June. He is waiting for the best offer to sign”, said Distak. Randleman don’t fight since his victory against Maurício Shogun in 2006 at Pride 32.

ive lost my faith in randelman after all the coke, near death experiences, kidney failures, arrests, and flesh eating diseases. vitor wasnt exactly mindblowing back in that cage rage, but if i remember correctly, his hand was broken... Vitor by TKO strikes from mount rd 1

Is it just me or do alot of these guys outside of the UFC completely bypass their upcoming fight and sign deals to fight other people. Wouldn't it make more sense to fight the guy you're signed to fight first and if you come out unhurt, then sign to fight someone else. It's madness. Anything can happen. Look at Frank Shamrock. Before his fight with Cung Le, he was talking about wanting a rematch with Tito Ortiz and wanted to fight his brother Ken. Then he gets his arm broke and is out at least 8 months. Focus on the task at hand, then move on to the next fighter.

I'm sure it boosts confidence for the fighter, knowing that the next fight isn't do-or-die.
