| Is Forrest A Bigger Underdog Against Rampage As Serra Was Against GSP?
Every month the UFC pay per views are events at my house. We have family and friends over and everyone starts arguing about who's going to win and who's going to lose. This Saturday night was no different except everyone in the house thought, as did the first fight that Serra was a significant underdog to win. We all picked GSP heavily. No one picked Serra to win that fight that I personally knew (although alot of Serra bandwagon riders in these forums talked about it). Then the first commerical for Team Forrest vs Team Rampage hit and we all erupted into debate. Everyone in the room talked about Rampage destroying Forrest. One guy in the room though is convinced that Forrest wins by TKO in Round 2. So my question is this. Is Forrest going into that fight a bigger underdog than Serra was in any of the 2 fights with GSP? We all know things can happen in a fight and Forrest is capable of pulling it out. But will he actually do it and if he does do it, how big of a shock would it be?
I see Rampage by TKO round 1 if anyone wants to argue about it.

I don't think people will be that shocked if he wins. He's an underdog yeah, but deffinetly not as much as Serra was.
Im actually betting on Forrest in this fight. I want Rampage to win,but after the Shogun fight, I don't think I'll ever overlook Forrest.
My prediction: Forrest via TKO due to knees in the 4th. I could also see Rampage knocking his head off, much like Jardine did.

I think it would be a pretty big shocker if he beat him.. but Def not as big as when Serra beat GSP. I don't think anything will ever top that.

He is an underdog but he's not on that Serra level. Forrest regardless of outcomes has fought Tito, Jardine and Shogun and was competetive in each bout. While I think he is an a big underdog against Rampage I think Serra really had that "no chance in hell" type of vibe going into his fight with GSP.
Look at it this way, the young lion finally defeated the old lion in Matt Hughes. He was going to have this long reign as champion. Then out of nowhere this reality TV show winner KO's him in the first round. That's absurd but that's what happened.

Anytime that you are talking about heavyweights, I don't think that you will see the same concept. Any light or heavyweight can take out an opponent with one well placed punch...I think the power factor makes it less of an 'underdog' situation.

No way!
The 1st time Serra/GSP happened Serra was not even ranked as a WW.
Forrest is at least #8.

......So | Couldn't have said it better myself. I "wanted" Forrest to win against Shogun but in no way did I expect him to.
I wouldn't fall off my chair if Forrest wins here, when Serra beat GSP I honestly was shocked beyond belief.

Forrest is defenitly not as big an underdog as Serra was. Do I think Forrest will beat Rampage? Probably not. Then again I also didnt give him much of a chance against Shogun. I think what Forrest may lack in skill, he more than makes up for in heart. Again, I might not think he will win but he is defenitly capable of doing so.
