or at least that was how it seemed to me during Saturday's promos. I would have thought that they would have taken the last fight on his contract for all it was worth.
I think the UFC has shown in the past (arlovski) that they arent going to put any extra promotion behind a fighter whos probably leaving the organization. This doesnt come as much of a suprise at all really. With Tito most likely leaving the organization they dont want to draw any extra attention to him.
well they kind of have to promote the fight because if machida wins he get the next crack at the title shot imo so they have to promote machida even if ortiz is on his way out

Yeah thats for sure.
AA/O'brien was different because I think they knew that O'brien was on his way out as well.
Machida will be a contender after this fight with a win. (IMO)
If you ask 100 people who they are buying this PPV for half would say Tito/Machida, and half would say BJ Penn/Sherk. The Wanderlei/Jardine fight would be a bonus.
If Tito would have resigned i'd say this would be co main event easily, but thats not the case, they will still deffinatly show it regardless of the outcome so no biggie to me
well considering the title shot is the main event they still mention ortiz vs. machida on every commercial as a double co main event alongside wandy vs. jardine and ortiz imo hasnt decisively won a fight since a washed up ken shamrock i think they are promoting him pretty well...

Do a poll....not to be confused with "do a pole". Ugh
