VERA--WERDUM = The only fight I'm interested in. We'll see Vera against a legit HW AGAIN. Let's see if he has a good showing. Unlike the last showing against Tim Slyvia. I expect Werdum to lay the smacketh down.

BISPING--LEBEN = I expect Bisping to be way to much for Leben.. and didnt Bisping JUST recently fight? idk, cutting it a bit close. It would have been cooler to see him fight someone like Okami.

RASHAD--IRVIN = Hella Lame... I expect Rashad to steamroll this guy. THIS IS WHY I HATE THE TUF SHOW... It ties up fighters for way to LONG ro build "hype"....happened with Hughes/Serra, it's happening now with Rampage/Griffin. I would have liked to Griffin fight Rashad. Now I cant. OH WELL.

How can you say this is a quality event? It looks like crap compared to 84.

The only reason the UFC even attempted to collect PPV money from this event is because of ONE PERSON. CHUCK LIDDELL. No ICEMAN, no numbers. Thank god Chuck doesnt let this get to his head... Chuck is the posterboy of the UFC. If Chuck were to turn on Dana, I could see the UFC lose it's foothole on the sport.
I don't think Alves is a fluke at all, and if Bisbing is going to be too much for Leben all depends on which Leben shows up.

well i guess the ufc website has confirmed it. The fight against Hughes is so important for Alves, if Alves wins this... I honestly think he's next in line for a shot at ww championship after fitch. The funny thing would be that Alves would have beat two top 10s in back to back fights compared to Fitch only beating one (in diego)

EDIT: I just removed the article from my post because I didn't even see if another thread confirmed it.. which it did.

I'm kinda surprised Alves was given this fight:

1) not sure if he deserved it (it puts him right in the title picture w/ a win)

2) not sure if he's ready for Hughes (I could be VERY wrong though)

It may look like crap compared to 84, but compared to 78 it looks fantastic. Bisping fighting again is fine by me. Why should he fight Okami when Okami is going to face Silva next?

And your argument about Rampage/Griffin? They wouldn't have moved that fight up because liddell went out of this one. It wouldn't have happened sooner anyways considering both were recovering from injuries and COULDN'T train to fight because of it.

Hughes will retire after the Serra fight. I can almost guarantee that Dana said, hey can you fight in June? Ill give you Serra next as he is out for a couple months anyways.

And to say the only reason it was a PPV is because Liddell was on it is total bullshit. The UFC will put as many cards as possible on PPV. They are hemoraging money from the UK fights. The UFC has every right to put a card on PPV. Look at UFC 72 or 78.

Vera vs. Werdum should be main eventing this card.

Not really interested in Rashad vs. Irving or Bisping vs. Leben - But I'm still wanting to watch those guys go at it. I mean, it won't tell us much about any of those four fighters, but there's still some intrigue there I guess.

I sure as hell wouldn't go so far as to call this a weak card - It's fucking free, on Spike. It's a fucking fantastic card.

...This IS going to be three hours, right? Someone get confirmation, please. Or start up another petition - This deal better be three hours, .

Will this still be on Spike even with the recently added awesomeness of Hughes Vs. Alves?
