I am pretty sure Anderson is still in the back of Hughes's mind, and Dana needs contenders after all.

I imagine that if Hughes loses to Serra and Alves, he will probably call quits. No shame in that, the guy will have over 50 fights. That is one hell of a career.

if hughes beats alves, and happens to beat serra, i think that he should retire @ the top of his game.

i still don't think that alves is a top contender just because he beat karo. i don't think that should catapolt the kid right into top contender status. maybe i'm just pissed cause he got caught juicin?!?! i donno.

but i think that if hughes stacks up 2 wins agianst avles and his nemesis serra, it would be a good way to go out.

Did I miss something. When did Hughes say anything about going up to 185 and fighting Silva?

I see Hughes beating Alves and Serra and retiring. In his whole career, there was only 1 guy that owned him and that was GSP. And that was an in his prime GSP against an aged and battled Hughes at the end of his game. We will have to see how GSP establishes himself as a repeat champ to see how the 2 legacies compare. You can't take anything away from Hughes because he lost to GSP twice at the end of his career.
