|  What if the Champ can't make weight?
Just a quick question...what if the champion doesn't make weight? I saw this mentioned elsewhere and nobody seemed to know the answer. If the challenger doesn't make weight, it becomes a non-title fight, but what happens if it's the defending champ? Does he lose the belt by default or something? Just asking because I honestly have no idea what happens in this situation.

Lol Sundance clearly stated an outcome regarding Anderson that will never happen.
Just like boxing, the champ is stripped of the belt, unless his name was Chuck lol.

Lets say the champ did'nt make weighs then they would fight and the man winning would be the new camp even if he didnt make wait ...if he didnt make weight and won then they would prolly strip him down of his title awardiding an interim to the next two contenders

I think champ looses the belt. Fight should happen ( same way if the challenger doesn't make the weight. If challenger wins he gets the belt, if not there will be a fight between #1 challenger and #2 challenger.

The champ would be publicly and privately shammed beyond all comprehension. I could see Anderson committing sepuku if he didn't make weight.
Or maybe they'd postpone the fight if they had enough advance notice the champ wasn't going to make weight. (Depending on the reason.)

I dont really know what would happen, but what I KNOW, is that champion who didnt make weight is definately going to hear a couple dozen F bombs from Dana.

ive always wondered this myself...id say strip the champ, make it a 3 round fight. then win or lose, the challenger still gets a title fight. but yeah definitely a tricky situation.

they would have to strip him of the title, otherwise a champ could keep on not making weight, losing, and be the champ forever with a terrible record.
