Seriously, this is getting out of hand and getting ridiculous. He is really bitching about money and I don't think he really needs it. He keeps waiting and waiting to fight. He wont get paid to fight at the age 50 like he will at 46. After all this I really have a hard time siding with Randy on this. He was given great opportunity by the UFC and complains about being disrespected when in the end he is the one disrespecting the UFC.
Randy = Bad.

The Hydra lives on....
Though I did read the bit about getting paid "market value"... I think if he's expecting to make what Mayweather does he's over-estimating the current MMA market... it's just not there yet... but I don't think that's what he's getting at... however...
I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU WANT RANDY!!!... how much money is fair? how much is market certified for the Natural...? TELL US AND END THESE POSTS!!!!
Also note that Floyd is considered in the whole p4p argument for boxing, Randy is not for MMA... maybe in regards to heavyweights but no one realistically has Randy being top 3 p4p, and that should factor in to what he's paid along with what he draws...

Randy isnt much of a thinker. Good guy, but a lot of this stuff isnt thought through.
First off, boxing has a financial system which everybody knows is broken. So yeah.
Secondly, in order to get paid that much, you have to box forever and keep a close to undefeated record. PBF boxed for like a decade before he headlined his first PPV and had to keep a perfect record through all that. 16-8 boxers (Randy's record) dont make anything. Heck, even 24-0 boxers dont make that much.
Boxing has a system where a few guys get rewarded huge. But in order to become those guys you need to fight forever, and almost always win. Lower level guys get treated like crap for a very long time (undercard boxers are getting paid a few thousand per fight IIRC).
Also, from the article: Quote: |

Initially it was all about respect and he kept on saying that pay was a secondary issue. Now its just about the money. And yeah, sure you dont have a beef with Dana.

So this is the second time he has changed his position

I'm so confused...

its funny how randy wants to be some kind of pioneer for the little guys and this and that, but in reality most people just want him to shut the fuck and fight, he's fighting a lost war at this point, fedor is figting tim and if tim wins then everything thats gone on was all for not
