but at 205 he has a chance to be champ especially when Chuck retires.. more like WHEN chuck retires. At 185, Ace is still young and prolly too well-rounded for him, A. Silva.. no way he beats that guy, Loiseau I dunno hes got the rampage fevor right now it seems, Swick ya cuz Swick has yet to be tested on his back and thats where he would end up fighting Evans, but still 185 is deep, 205 isnt he could be champ as soon as Chuck is out of the picture.

I just checked Sherdog. He is listed as 5'11" and 225, which is probably his TUF weight. Look at the photo that accompanies his stats - he looks lean and that is probably at 205. No way he makes 185. If he does make it, you will then see boring, because he will be thinking about cheeseburgers and ice cream when fighting and not finishing his opponent.
btw, Afro Sam, you are showing amazing discipline by not going off today in this thread. I can feel the steam coming out of your ears through my monitor from what some guys are writing!

I checked during TUF. In an interview on TUF he said that he did not wrestle to his potential in College. He never won the Big 10 or was All-American.The UFC is his second chance.

I read in a Rashad Evan's interview that he wrestled in college at 170. Nonetheless, I still don't see why he should move down to 185. He is doing very well at 205 and he does look to be in great shape at this weight.

Rashad at 204:
Yes, he wrestled at 175 in his senior year of college but you would assume that he's normal off-season weight would be about 190 or 195 back then. That was three years ago and he has "grown" into his body. With the way he's conditioned now, I suspect his normal weight to be around 220lbs.
For him to cut from 204 down to 185 would take a lot of muscle mass away. And losing muscle mass quickly is not easy dude! I could see if he had a lot of fat on him to still shed.
Although Rich may be taller than Rashad by 2 inches, the way he carry's his weight is very different. Franklin's by is long and leaner. Look at the development his legs and chess, though cut they are not thick.
Rashad is much more compact. His legs are thicker and his chest wider. Since trimming down from his TUF appearance, you can obviously see he has much more muscle on his body than when he first hit UFC.
I would bet at the weigh in, they have similar body fat ratios...i just don't see how Rashad cuts that much weight, espeically muscle mass, and still keeps his strength, quickness and endurance.
