I think in the future years of this sport people will recognize Tito as that one fighter that helped pave the way for just and right fighter pay.

Everyone on here who always hates, and always thinks that all Tito wants is more money and more money should read this carefully. MMA is the only sport where the fighters aren't fully taken care of where if something happens, they aren't on their own. Just because Tito is educated enough to not get the short end of the stick when he's 40-50 and can't hardly walk anymore because of his career, doesn't make him a greedy bastard.
And this is the 2nd time in less than a month that there has been speculation about GSP not being happy with UFC management.
Tito's my favorite fighter by far and have defended him in these forums when I was the only one. I could give a shit less what other people say, and all Machida bandwagon riders. Don't get me wrong, I like Machida, but Tito's the man in my opinion. I know he will never beat Chuck but who cares. If you can't stand behind your favorite fighter/sports team when they're down, you don't deserve to stand behind them when they win. Fuck em up Tito.

I prefer Machida and hope he wins. Tito probably has a point in regards to money being paid to fighters, but he definitely needs to leave the UFC. Leaving after a victory would be best for him. I don't agree that he'll stay if he wins. There are better financial options out there. He'll never get the money he thinks he deserves. He's not the champion nor will he be again in the UFC. I'm not sure he realizes where he's at in the UFC pecking order. He however is still a big name. If he leaves to Elite XC he could be that guy he wants to be again. Kimbo is marketed like the next coming but is still largely unproven, that's not the case with Tito. Hardcore fans would realize he was past his prime but the new audience being sought wouldn't. He's a fighter who could be their champion for a while and has the pedigree to match. Tito as the champ has a tremendous ability to sell himself. You love him or hate him but you gotta watch him. I'm rooting for some other promotions to succeed and continue to grow the sport and I truly believe Tito can help do that.

GSP is unhappy about his sponsor thing as far as i know.
But UFC is not the only one to ban then, Elite followed and that will mean Icon, and there other orgs will too.
I don't really see how GSP can be unhappy at this point, seeing how he just fought in the main event, in Canada, for the belt.
Also i am sure if GSP is unhappy, Zuffa will just make it up by handing him a huge check to make up for his losses with his sponsor.
Zuffa probably gave GSP a really nice bonus for winning the belt back.
In the end money speaks loud, and Zuffa will pay GSP what ever he wants to make him happy.
UFC needs stars and poster boys. GSP is just that and is a draw. They will treat him like they do Chuck.

I just want some of everything.

They put all the money up, but I’m putting my ass in the Octagon, and I’m putting my life on the line. I could get seriously injured, you know, paralyzed, my eye poked out. There’s some really serious injuries that can happen in the Octagon, and people don’t take that into consideration. The training, the hard training we put into it.
| lol. Is he still crying about Chuck poking him in the eye? Quote: |
How much is an eyeball worth? Is it worth a million? Hell no. Is it worth 10 million? Now you’re starting to talk when you’re talking 10, 15 million. I have a back injury. If I have bulging discs and all of a sudden a disc slips and I get paralyzed from the waist down, is that worth a million dollars? Hell no. None of that shit’s worth a million dollars. I want to be able to run with my son when I’m 40 years old and throw a football with him. Be a healthy man. I have to make sure financially that I take care of myself.

While I understand the whole "how much is an eyeball or back injury worth" thing, it is starting to get old. I would say the same thing I said to Kalib. If you don't like it, change jobs.
Lol at Tito saying that being paralyzed is worth 10 or 15 million dollars.
There is no denying that Tito had a place in history with the UFC. He was paid very well (especially for the time) for what he did. However, after his last few fights I feel that his time and place have passed.
He is still a love him or hate him fighter, but his shit talking is like his fighting. One-dimensional, boring, and predictable.
Pay me more. I made the UFC. Randy and Chuck would be poor without me and owe me everything.
There was a time that I liked Tito Ortiz a lot. When he wore his belt backwards and was a major player. I used to look forward to his trash talking. That time has long since passed.
Also, I would be very disappointed if GSP left. I would be equally disappointed if for some reason he actually talked to and or trusted Tito.

| Tito Ortiz throws St. Pierre under the bus Quote:
Hats off to Adam Wagner of MMAMania.com for conducting a great interview with Tito Ortiz. You’ve got to check it out. Tito always gives good interview, but he was especially on his game. When he wasn’t calling Ed Soares, the manager of Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida, and other top Brazilian fighters, a “scumbag,” he was throwing Georges St. Pierre under the bus:
Adam Wagner (MMAmania.com): So are you saying that a lot of these fighters who we see on television as the faces of the UFC, do you think that behind the scenes, they are commenting on that type of thing but are just afraid to say it?
Tito Ortiz: Of course they’re commenting on it. There are all kinds of guys … Georges St. Pierre, I know he’s very disgusted with the UFC, but it’s just one of those things where they give him little small things that he thinks are great. He gets a brand new Hummer, like “Wow, I get an awesome new Hummer” (and it) costs 50 grand, and all of a sudden I gotta pay taxes on it, and I gotta pay for gas, and dutta-dutta-duh.
These little small things they give them to make fighters happy because they know they’ve never had those things before. Well let’s think about when fighters have their cars and have their houses, and now all of sudden, they’re like, “Well I want to start paying bills. I want to start paying for all this stuff, because I’m not gonna be able to fight for the rest of my life,” you know.
I can’t be the president of a company and say what happens and say what goes here and what goes there. I want to be a fighter. You got to think outside of the box, and not just think as a fighter, but think as a businessman.
That’s what it really comes down to, because there are other fighters who are screaming as loud as they possibly can … under their own tone. And they can’t say anything, because the UFC holds a thumb over them. If they speak out, they’ll squash ‘em. Just as they did with Randy Couture, they squashed him.
If GSP is in fact disgusted with the UFC, then he’s never said anything publicly. And if he’s said something privately, I’m not sure he’s going to appreciate Ortiz taking the liberty of spilling the beans for him.

lol if no one has noticed... Tito has been doing a lot of interviews lately. All he's doing is creating a buzz before he leaves. He's doing it quite well imo. Not only is he talking about himself by bringing up all the big names but others fighters are talking about him as well.
