I don't know about that. BJ has been in a couple 5 rounders before and was in four straight 3 rounders prior to that bout. He has never looked like that in any fight... his hands were down and Hughes was picking him apart on the feet first in that round. Then he gets taken down with relative ease and Hughes passes guard also relatively easy.

BJ has shown signs of fatigue before but not to that level... that was just extraordinary... which was explained by the injury he suffered. He couldn't even stand up after the second round was over. He even said he was in pain but thought he could fight through it.

I'm not here to discredit Hughes' victory.. he may have still won in the later rounds but when you look at the facts... its clear that BJ was injured and that definitely hindered his performance greatly

I dont think Bj has fought anyone who is going to push the pace like Sherk is. If Bj doesnt win this fight by the 3rd round he is going to loose. Sherks constant pressure is going to wear him down. Pluss he is short and stalky so im not so sure the Bj is going to catch him in a sub that easy. Sherk has been in 36 fights and fought his fair share of good ju jitsu fighters without being sub. I think Sherk wins this fight in the 5th round. Regardless who wins I hope its a great fight.

no, bj seperated his rib and he panicked and tried to end the fight right away with the triangle...he showed no patience and did not look like himself...

If I remember correctly, Sherk was screaming like a little girl when GSP was pounding on top of him. Although Sherk said he didnt quit, when you squeal like a little girl, its a pretty good indication that GSP made him his bitch.

It was very similar to a tough kid getting taught a lesson by a grown man. I like them both, but GSP worked Sherk something fierce.

Scott I am going to refrain from Neg'n you on this one because i think your a cool cat but your hate for Penn has blinded your opinion in this matter. A rib injury will take you out of a fight plain and simple would of Penn gassed later in the Fight maybe but being hurt and that injury causing shortness of breath you cannot even equate that fight to gassing.
