the part at the end where he talks about BJ coming unprepared and blah blah blah...it just wreaks of a Hughes nuthugging to me. LOL

Geez dude, everyone was saying that after the fight. Even big BJ fans/supporters on this forum were saying it.

Think maybe you might be the teenyist (sp?) bit sensitive on this subject?

not really. he just doesn't give BJ any credit in the article and fails to mention that BJ schooled Matt for two rounds before the injury and gassing. BJ is one of my favorites, and i always stick by my favs, win or lose!

That is commendable but you need to give credit where it is due. BJ is actually one of my favorite fighters as well. I actually kind of admire the way he comes into fights with the expectation he is going to win in the first 2 rounds and that is what he plans for in a sense.

I actually thought the guy that wrote that was basically being fair. he probably wrote it immediately after the fight and had a lot of emotions going on. I don't know. I didn't think it was all that bad. Actually thought it was funny that he counted how many times matt hit bj while in the crucifix position.

i still give Matt all the credit and respect in the world for winning. he took advantage of an injured, gassed opponent and that's what you're suppose to do. every fighter does it. but like i said i stick to my guys, and had BJ not been hurt, i believe he would have won the fight.

even if one of my guys were to lose every fight they had for the rest of their careers, ima still root for them. some people piss me off by saying "so and so is washed up, and sucks," after he loses a few fights when he used to be there favorite. that's not whats going on with the article, but it made me think of that. LOL

Actually I really agree with that last post. Fighters should never be written off just because they lose a couple fights. That is one of the things that pisses me off about the UFC actually. I don't know what the future holds but in the past as soon as someone lost they were never to be heard from again. Even good fighters that win are written off occasionally. See duane ludwig not a great fighter but an exciting one none the less. there are too many to count that got blown off by the ufc let alone fans that don't fight but critique and discredit because of a loss.

just about every professional fighter is dangerous on some level until they are put in the ground. Hell I wouldn't mess with helio jsut because he's like 150 years old. that man is still dangerous in my book.

yeah the UFC is guilty of doing that quite a bit. i guess it's a good thing they did TUF 4, cuz it gave some of those guys a second chance. one guy i can think of inparticular, is Mayhem! the guy lost A F*CKING WAR to GSP! yeah he got his ass kicked, but he was never finished and it was in my opinion the fight of the night at UFC 52. Since that fight he hasn't lost. The UFC is missing out by not offering him a return fight.

Mayhem adn Lindland should both be in the UFC. I think Dana is too proud to call guys back after he shits on them. He just figures he can find or build up other fighters. flawed logic in my book.

Dana White makes me sick. Did anyone else see the way he was kissing Matt Hughes ass as he put the belt on him? Then on the next day everything on the front page of thier website was full of links to articles from different papers all talking about how great Matt Hughes is. Don't get me wrong Hughes is a great champion, but every link, Cmon.

ufc would allow that on the front page because dana is all over matt's dick. cmon, dana is all over the militech camp period. what made me sick is what he was saying after the fight, acting like hughes dominated the whole fight. i mean cmon, it was a good fight up until the end where bj couldnt fight no more, but its not like bj didnt have hughes fans shitting their pants the first two rounds.
