My point was that if Tito had better hands, it would have forced Chuck to respect them more making it easier for Tito to take him down. Since Chuck had no reason to respect the hands, he could unload and prevent the takedowns which is what Tito does. That made it easy for Chuck to thumb his eye and TKO him.

It's good to see Tito recommitted. It would have been nice if he hadn't lost his commitment in the first place. I hope he follows through.

I think he lost sight of what was important when Chuck thumbed him in the eye.

Are you sure? He looks huge. If he only dropped 20 lbs from the last time I saw him he'd still be a whale. If he's only 260 then he needs to do more than lose weight because he's unbelievably soft.

Co-sign.

On topic, Tito will never, I repeat NEVER, be the/a top LHW in MMA again. He'll sell fights till the day he retires, and he'll most certainly post a respectable record from here on out, but he's a businessman first and foremost...not a fighter.

I realize who he is and what he's done, but its just not there anymore. Like Dana said (I know, I know) on the 84 site preview, "the luster just isn't there anymore."

In any case, it WILL be interesting to see who he tries to pick up for the new TP. IMO he needs to focus on recruiting some promising young guys and try to build them up with a wide array of talented coaches and trainers. That was also one of the problems with the most recent incarnation of his team...he didn't really have anyone there who could challenge him.

He's been really committed to his training and I for one think that he'll be back in old form in no time. I have been a big Ricco supporter from the beginning and i think he will be back and be a force. Well, at least a whole lot better than he looked against Rothwell.

You told the same (lame) joke twice on the same page of a thread. If I pretend to laugh will you stop doing this -->

This is good to hear. I'd like to see Ricco get back in great shape, and would like a major return of Team Punishment. Sounds like Tito is extremly dedicated at the moment.

I cant wait for Ortiz/Machida.

It's not the exact same joke. One was about it making it easier for Chuck to KO him, the other was about him losing sight of things. It's an apples and oranges comparison. Ask Randy Couture and Kevin Randleman how they felt after Chuck thumbed their eye.

I wish the best for Ricco, it's almost depressing seeing such an amazing talent fall so far. His last 2 decision loses were a let-down and the less said about that travesty of MMA called Yamma, the better.

If I ever end up terminally ill, I'll call in Travis Wiuff to finish me off. He seems to be good at smothering old men.

Apples... Oranges... it's still rotten fruit from an old tree. Your joke would be semi-topical were it made a year ago. Wine and cheese get better with age, everything else becomes stale.
