|  Shouldnt BJ of told the Ref about his injury?
Isnt it ruled a NC if his injury checks out?

I don't believe a NC would have been called that far into the match.
Also, how can BJ prove when the injury happened? It could have been from training, it could have been from a Hughes strike, or it could have happened during a takedown.
It would be impossible to verify when exactly a rib seperation took place.

The cause matters because if Hughes caused the injury than Hughes can win that way.
For there to be a no contest, it would have to be an injury caused by something outside the rules of the fight.
Like a headbutt because headbutts are illegal or like in the Southworth/Irvin fight when they fell out of the cage.

It wouldn't of be ruled a NC cause of a rib injury lol. It would of been a TKO because of a rib injury. Hughes won by TKO anyway so woulda been same ruling.

Yeah it would've been ruled a TKO.Even if it would've been ruled a NC Matt would've still kept the belt.
