on the latest cfz radio show chris leben was on it and he mad some sence....... why does sherk get a title shot when his last three fights he was 1-2 ans why kenflo get a title shot his last fights were to guys who had no ground game at all they were clean strikers.............. i think they should of waited to give the 155 belt away because i dont think they deserve it

Because, for the UFC, who's better to become champ. Guilliard, fisher, Edwards? Or between a guy who has been fighting a while and has a great record at WW that can most likely dominate and one of there golden boys from TUF. Its marketing man. They also wanted the first title defense to be against Pulver but that will have to wait. again...its marketing

Sherk is not 1-2 in his last 3 fights. He only has 2 losses and they are to Hughes and GSP. He's 30-2-1 overall, so I'd say that's why he deserves it. Ken-Flo on the other hand does not.

Listen the UFC wants Sherk to become the champ. They wanted Pulver to beat the hell out of the guy he fought the other night so that they could stage Sherk vs PUlver. KenFlo is nothing more then a can for Sherk to handle. It is nice becuase he is a name, but that is all. Sherk should kill him and thus maybe set up a fight with Penn or maybe still Pulver, the UFC has done stranger things.

Yeah, I could see Penn going down to LW to challenge for the title. Pulver is still a good fighter, and maybe this Lauzon kid is for real. I think in the next year the LW division might be the UFC's most competitive and exciting.

I'm pretty sure he meant 2 out of his last 3 fights in the UFC, which is true.

I agree that Kenny Florian doesn't deserve a title shot. He has a lot of potential and has a very good ground game, but he's only 4-2 overall and his win list isn't all that impressive. He did beat Sam Stout, which is a very good win, but I doubt if Sam Stout won that fight he would be getting a title shot right now.

i think pulver should have gotten the immediate shot. also, they should have had some kind of tournament for the belt.

id have to disagree with pulver getting the imediate shot..true he never lost his belt at 155 in the ufc but him getting knocked out in 40 some odd seconds by a dude whose first fight in the ufc..i dont think that is title material

Ok. I am gonna come out and say it.

I am certain Pulver can beat the shit out of "Kenflo" (Gay nickname) if they fought. I don't care if Pulver lost it in 40 sec whatever. I will put my money on Pulver 100 out of 100 times.

Kenflo never impressed against bunch of crappy opponents and he's gonna get killed by Sherk. I haven't seen Sherk as a LH so i cant say anything but Sherk was a good fighter at WW and I have a feeling he can take out kenflo with ease.

But at the end, it will be Sherk, Pulver, Guillard (spelling?) competing for the title.
