I am going to assume that you have not watched any of the early UFC's. If you had you would have seen that the fight before that Royce had shamrock in a RNC and Shammy tapped but when royce let go Shammy started to fight again. He was just making sure that didn't happen again.
besides that noone knew what the hell BJJ was so anyone knowing is a moot point. then you have the fact that he was outweighed by about 100 lbs. Royce is a legend and pioneer. I wouldn't ever say anything bad about him as a fighter.
Different set of rules then and anything went. Keith Hackney basically turned a guy into a eunich hitting him in the nuts as storm alluded to.
Get some mma history lessons before you post some thing like that.
