Default Did EliteXC Ban Affliction Or Not?

Affliction's PPV is coming up and is going to be excellent in my opinion. And there's been plenty of debate over the past few months of whether it was right or wrong that the UFC banned Affliction. Then there was talk that EliteXC banned them as well. However, Scott Smith was wearing an Extreme Couture Affliction shirt at the Elite event Saturday night so are they banned from Elite or not?

I could be wrong here, but I was under the impression that Xtreme Couture clothing was completely different and not affiliated with Affliction. I thought Xtreme Couture just ripped off the look.

If that's the case the Elite XC would be banning affliction due to their formation of an MMA org. They have nothing against Couture/Xtreme Couture.

Anyone have a picture of the shirt? I don't remember it.

Xtreme Couture is a subbrand of Affliction.

Xtreme Couture was formed under the Affliction banner in partnership between Couture and Affliction. Rampage Jackson is just one of many who have their own designed Xtreme Couture Affliction shirts. Not sure how that will work now since Rampage hasn't fought since the ban was put in place.

My guess is that since Xtreme Couture is a sub brand it doesn't fully count to EXC. Smith's shirt said xtreme couture on it, but not Affliction. It's a subtle difference, but one none the less.

Fair enough. Good to know. I remember seeing the shirt he wore, and it stuck out in my mind, I just thought it was a seperate brand.

Speaking of sponsors. Did anyone notice that even though they said he wouldn't be wearing the sponsor, Kimbo was wearing Reality Kings on his shorts?

Was he? CBS probably wasn't happy about that since they were the ones that said he couldn't wear anything with Reality Kings on it
