| Could Faber compete at 155 in UFC
Simple question could Faber compete at 155 in the UFC? It seems like some folks think that is the logical transition for him, but I don't think it would be a good idea. Does anyone know how much Faber cuts to get to 145 because some of the larger LWs walk around at 175 and are huge guys in comparison. I think that he would get owned by larger LWs.

Compete at155? Without question but I think he's better served staying at 145 where he can be the WEC posterboy and benchmark for that division where at 155 he might get lost in that division. Who knows but for once I'd like to see a dominant fighter stay in their weight class and have a nice long run with the title. MMA I think could use a nice long reigning champ and Faber along with Anderson Silva could do that.

his wrestling is light years better than Sherk's and seems to hit harder. so I actually think he'd do well until BJ Penn. Once BJ moved up I think he could win the championship.

His only lost was to Tyson Griffin and Tyson would probably beat him again, same goes with Frankie Edgar if they ever fought.
He would also get destroyed by Sherk and BJ.
Faber will stay at 145.

Faber will stay at 145. | That is pretty much my thoughts on it as well unfortunately.
Still I would enjoy being proved wrong if it happened |

Faber would be an average-sized lightweight and his wrestling is great, but I don't know how effective it would be against some of the really huge guys at 155 like Sherk or Griffin. I'll tell you what though....I would love to see Faber/Huerta in the future. That has FOTY written all over it.
Still, I think Faber would be better served ruling over 145 with an iron fist until there's absolutely no one else to fight. In the meantime, he's got guys to fight down there.

Money talks. Eventually he is going to run out of fights at 145 and will take the pay day and move up and into the UFC.
Florian, Penn, Sherk, etc...Too big for him imo. But he will definitely put on some good fights imo.

I think he would be very competitive at 155lbs, and eventually be in title contention. Faber is AMAZING at 155, and would be a BAD MO FO at 145!
I want to see him make the jump, and come to the UFC at 155 lbs, but you know Dana would test him immediately, like through him in with Tyson Griffin again...
