I voted No, but I also believe that Ref's should be graded and paid and placed in events accordingly. The best should be paid more and ref in the biggest events and they need to be continuely graded to stay there. There seems to only a few ref so there is no motive to improve thier skills. The same goes for judges.

Someone should start up and online petition trying to get him fired and than send it to the UFC, NJSAC, CSAC, and the NVSAC.

I agree with every decision he made the past two weeks. Thomson's weak ass elbows shouldn't have come close to stopping Kimbo -- people complained about that. The raised arm thing people should have a sense of humor about. Werdum actually was landing on Vera and that would have gotten ugly in 10 more seconds -- Werdum landed close to 10 hard shots shots in 12 seconds...that would have continued. I find it funny that some people complain about that decision and then complain that he didn't stop the Thomson-Kimbo fight. MMA is like soccer. It's hard to consistently make a perfect decision in such a fast moving, free-flowing sport. The beauty of things is that it will always cause us to have something to discuss. If he actually makes "real" mistakes, where fighters end up losing on completely bogus calls, or they end up hurt, then start complaining.

I agree fired or at least very small shows. How does a referee not know who the fighters are, he might not know of them alot but at least look at some damn pictures or learn your left and rights or something. I didnt agree with any of his stoppages either in CBS/UFC. I can however agree that Vera might not have been defending himself but he wasnt hurt at all and it was only 15 more seconds. MAybe the early stops were for CBS in EliteXC but I thought he stopped 2 fights on that show early too. Anyways, horrible ref, too many stupid embarrasing mistakes.

He should be fired period. I am looking at it from a Fighter and a Fans perspective. When I fought back in the day there were some calls, not on me I agreed with them, but I have seen some calls on Shannon that were bunk. When someone busts their ass of in a gym for 2 months getting ready for a fight and some dipshit ref that makes a mistake (Dan has made Multiple) it is not good for the fighter nor the fans.
I know people want to be nice to the guy but Fuck him!! He deserves to be fired because there are too many peoples vested interest in the outcome of the fights for him to be fucking up like that.

I said yes simply because the man is in a position to fuck with peoples lively-hood and he obviously doesnt know what hes doing. Idk maybe firing is too much but like Clint said, he should at the very least be retrained and sent to smaller shows.
