You all make valid points about who you think should get inducted next into the hall. I still don't like the popularity argument though. If the UFC wants their hall of fame to be a joke and have no relevance, they can allow Tank in. No matter how popular he was he didn't have an above .500 record and wasn't a great fighter. You can't induct people like that in if you want your Hall of Fame to be legitamate.

Hey easy NinjaShogunRua, I wouldn't say Bas doesn't deserve in. It's hard to induct someone who only had two fights for the company, but he won them both along with the title beating two very good fighters. And he himself set a standard, as he was pretty much the first Heavyweight to do everything good - striking, submission, etc. He wasn't just average at either he was good and he displayed those skills against other pretty decently rounded fighters - especially TK.

Was Tank exciting? Sure, he was mean and could throw with the best of them, but HOF worthy....no way...HOF means the fighter was great over a lengthy period.....Tank was mediocre at best.

But yeah with Penn you're right I think, but Randy did do it first, and that should be grounds for HOF induction.

no nos- tank and kimo. it should be by success not being popular, this aint wrestling. you dont see boxers that were ok fighters but very popular get into hof and in football theres people that get bumped that were great. so like someone else said, to keep it meaniful put the best fighters in. | So by that theory are they gonna remove Ken Shamrock & Dan Severn???
Sorry Bud, but I was never his biggest fan, but Tank has as much rights to be in as Shamrock or Severn.
Hey, let's agree to disagree.

Hey, let's agree to disagree. | !!!!
Why???
Ken won a lot of his fights, Tank didnt... Ken brought as many if not more to the UFC then Tank did, same goes with Dan Severn.. people liked Tank because he was a bad ass who just fought and he knocked people out.. hes the Mike Tyson of the UFC. While I said because of his name he should get into the Hall, I thought about it.. anyone could bench 800 Lbs, walk into the UFC, lose a bunch of fights but at the same time knock people out and build a bad ass persona about them and get into the HOF if we allow Tank to get in.. but I think I heard Dana call Tank a future HOFer before so maybe our worst nightmare is going to come true..

Wins: Steve Nelmark, John Matua, Cal Worsham, Steve Jennum (ex-ufc champ, ahem!), Paul Varelans plus a few others who names escape me)
Lost: Mo Smith, Pedro Rizzo, Frank Mir, Dan Severn, Don Frye, Vitor Belfort, Oleg Taktarov & er...Kimo & Cabbage (but only by a pussy little cut)!
As said, he was an exciting fighter to watch, for the first 2/3 minutes, then he gassed. A bit like Homer Simpsons opponents in the episode Moe became his boxing trainer!!!

what gives Tank as much of right as Severn and Shamrock, did Tank ever win a UFC title or beat anyone worth mentioning? Like I said before, the guy is a legend, but definitely doesn't have accomplishments even close to guys like Shamrock and Severn.
