While I said because of his name he should get into the Hall, I thought about it.. anyone could bench 800 Lbs, walk into the UFC, lose a bunch of fights but at the same time knock people out and build a bad ass persona about them and get into the HOF if we allow Tank to get in.. but I think I heard Dana call Tank a future HOFer before so maybe our worst nightmare is going to come true.. | Why, because Shamrock was never the best fighter in the UFC. He never won the UFC. He got as far as Tank ever did. My point was that Luis suggested that only the best should be allowed as a HOFer yes Tank was not the best fighter, but nor were Dan or Ken.

Easy, it wasn't a knock on Bas, just a comparison of wins in the UFC. Just saying that both were champions with minimal wins. Bas would be a MMA Hall of famer if there was such a thing.

Look the point remains Tank had the mentality that he was gonna KO or be KO'd in his fights. You will never see Tank dance around for 30 minutes a la Ken Vs Dan in a fight. And people came to watch the UFC because of that, just watch some of the ealry UFC's & you'll see a LOT of people in Tank shirts & going wild for the man.
Anyways, I've given my opinion.

like I said Tank had a fighter mentallity, he was a strong guy who made exciting fights and knocked people out, will he be in the HOF? no doubt in my mind he will.. but should he be? thats real questionable because Tank was never a great fighter, just a great personallity.

As said, he was an exciting fighter to watch, for the first 2/3 minutes, then he gassed. A bit like Homer Simpsons opponents in the episode Moe became his boxing trainer!!! | also take into consideration he'd take fights on real shortr notice.that's why he'd gas.he fought gary on like 4 days notice or some shit like that.he's also the only guy to REALLY KO Cabbage. That AA stoppage was bullshit.another reason why Mario yamasaki is a retarted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uie3W...=tank%20abbott

The only reason why Tank should be in in my opinion is because... .Well Tank, Ken and Dan and Royce honestly all helped put UFC on the map. They were like the faces of UFC back in the day. yeah sure tank's record wasn't impressive. but he was a common name back in the day of the UFC and helped them put them on the map.
