true tank wasnt the fighter shamrock or coleman or even don frye was. But anyone who would take a fight on a few days notice, just cus he liked what he was doing deserves some respect. Remember without Tank, some of those great names wouldnt have had anyone to bang with in the early days. So I would have to say tank deserves in, and ya'll left out don frye. The predator was a bad mofo in his prime in the ufc.

Tank was a gamer. He would take fights on short notice, and you could always count on him to bang, make fights interesting. That being said, is that enough to carry someone to the HOF? There have been a lot of heavy-headed guys that have come and gone over the years and for some reason Tank just appealed to a wider audience. Aside from a willingness to bang, and a popularity with sleevless-shirt Nascar fans, I really don't think he brought enough to the organization to merit him being a hall of famer.

listen up, I personally do not like the UFC's method of iducting people into there hall of fame. the only person who is in the hall of fame that I agree with is randy coture who was inducted on the last TUF finally (6/24/06). The problem is that they don't base their inductance on how good they are. Someone who is inducted into the hall of fame should be timeless, including their success in the UFC, like randy couture. randy was in the UFC for a long time and EXCELLED IN HIS SPORT FROM START TO FINISH. Ken, royce, and dan did not. tank also did not. what ken royce dan and tank all have in common is that they did good for a small time, at the beginning of there time and then fell off. I believe to be in the hall of fame, your success should be timeless and the previous four did far from that and it is hard to argue.
But from the rediculous credentials they use for inducting people in the hall of fame I could understand why tank would end up in the hall of fame. but if this is the case shouldn't belfort and a slew of other people be in there? I really just don't understand there proper justification for there inductance in to the hall of fame.
My hall of fame

Randy, chuck, hughes, pulver

in the future: franklin, gsp, maybe even AA?

Tank Abbott does deserve to be in the UFC Hall of Fame. Ziggy had it right, he deserves in, but not for his fight record. Tank deserves in because he drew a lot of attention to the sport from the second he got in the door, and has continued for a lot longer than most. Remember folks, its a hall of fame not a hall of "best fighters ever". Tank Abbott is definitely in the top ten of most famous fighters UFC has ever had, and one might be able to argue top five. And what's with everyone always saying that Shamrock never had a belt? Didn't he have the Superfight Championship belt multiple times?
