I don't think McDonald is really a title contender yet, lol. But with a few more solid preformences againist guys like Leben, maybe Swick, Loiseau, he'd quickly becoming a rising star in that division.

Like the rest of you I was very impressed with McDonald. It just goes to show that just because we haven't seen someone fight before doesn't mean they are a can or a sub-par fighter. We hear that shit on here all the time. It's irritating.

I thought Herman's machismo about tapping out before going unconscious making him a pussy was stupid. Fighting hard to get out of a submission is admirable. Some fighters panic and give up way too quickly when caught in a sub IMO. Depriving your brain of oxygen till you pass out or getting your arm broken because you won't tap is just stupid. To me, there's no dishonor in tapping when you know you're beat.

the first fights for herman and grove were soposed to just be nobodys and to shocase grove and hermans first ufc fights after tuf finalie and i was so surprized that herman lost, but he held on for a very very long time and showed that he had a lot of heart.
