I'm actually not defending Diaz, I've said repeatedly I think Nate throwing the bottle was stupid. I just feel the situation didn't happen in a vacuum.
It's not uncommon for fighters to come into the ring/cage to hype a fight. GSP was not impressed with Hughes' performance, Penn gave a death sentence to Sherk, etc. So the "Don't be scared homie" shouldn't be taken out of context...that's the sort of thing that happens all the time.
Shaw knew exactly what he was doing by setting up a volatile situation and reaping the benefits. If you choose to single out just one side as being wrong, I'll choose to explain there was more at fault than just the Diaz's.

Again, I've said Nate shouldn't have thrown the bottle. But I feel KJ's dad was just as big of an asshole...he's not even an MMA fighter, he was a sideshow event for the evening. If you get worked up about Nate doing what he considers as defending his family, you might want to hold Noon's dad to the same standard. He is, after all, well done with puberty, I'd imagine.
Or not. I really don't care. If you hate the Diaz's, nothing I can type will make you change your mind. But their behavior didn't happen in a vacuum.

I'm not arguing anything about bananas. I'm illustrating that you were wrong about the way you'd interpreted your pictures, that the Diaz's came charging in flipping people off and throwing bottles while Noon & Co were a class act. So maybe it wasn't a banana, but it certainly wasn't the apple you described.
Neither side was a class act, and foolish actions have foolish reactions. Which is exactly what Shaw wants, sending people as volatile as the Diaz's into the ring.

Did I decipher anything? I said it looks like he's saying something that starts with F. That's a more clear photo of an apple than you presented with...and I still didn't draw any concrete implications from it. I said "looks like..."
I'm equally impressed with your ability to jump to conclusions because I blew your little theory up by putting your isolated photo's into better perspective.
Yes, the bottle throwing and flipping off was melodramic and stupid, but it was in response to more melodrama and more stupidity from the moment the Diaz's stepped into the ring.
Does that excuse it?
Certainly not.
But if blame actually needs to be placed anywhere--and I don't think it does, as nobody was killed--it should be placed on both parties and most importanly on Gary Shaw and TJ Thompson for setting the event up.
Or you could continue to unreasonably hate on the Diaz's, because it was really all their fault. They shouldn't have listened to Nick's boss, they shouldn't have tempers, they shouldn't throw signs that ignorant people feel are gang-related, they shouldn't use foul language and they should respect their elders, even when they're shouting curses at them across the ring.
