| Cole Miller: I want to be that guy who puts Jorge Gurgel away Quote:
Cole Miller says Gurgel's Jiu Jitsu isn't a concern to him as he talks about their upcoming fight and shares his thoughts on the upcoming clash between Rampage and Forrest Griffin.
On his loss to Stephens...
"I just couldn’t get excited. I didn’t have any killer instinct and that’s really unlike me. I couldn’t get amped up in the fight and I had him. I never felt in danger the entire time. Even when he picked me up and slammed me, I didn’t feel like I was in any danger. I felt like he couldn’t hurt me so I never felt any sense of urgency to put the fight away and I had the opportunities to do so."
On his upcoming fight with Jorge Gurgel...
"I think he’s a really good fighter. He’s well-rounded and I like his fighting style because it doesn’t really matter to him where the fight goes. He fights a lot like me. He never really wants to keep the fight standing or go to the ground; his fights are all over the Octagon. He fights in the clinch, on the floor, scrambling and lobbying for position, so I think it makes for an exciting fight. He comes with plenty of gas in his tank, but I think I’m coming with a little bit more gas, but he has a little size on me. It should be a good one."
On the importance of looking impressive in his next fight...
"It’s very important that I look impressive because if I don’t, I could be on the backburner again. I could win, but not be very impressive; then who would want to see me fight? If the UFC would put me on the backburner for 5 or 6 more months, I wouldn’t blame them. If I look like shit and become a boring fighter, then maybe I should be on the backburner for 5 or 6 more months. It’s important for me to go in there and solidify my spot in this lightweight division and not just be some gatekeeper."
His thoughts on the Rampage-Griffin fight...
" I’m really interested in the Forrest-Rampage fight though. I’ve been a fan of Rampage for a really long time now. I really like his fighting style. I’ve been watching him since the early 2000’s and he just goes in there and throws down when he was fighting in Pride, but Forrest is a very good friend of mine. I remember training with him back in Georgia back in the day. Of course I’m going to root for Forrest and I think the longer this fight goes, the more it plays into Forrest’s hands. If Rampage don’t just come in there and swing and knock him out in the first round, then I can see Forrest walking away with this one."
Here's the full interview (and source) FIGHTHYPE \\ CONTENT | War Miller. I'd like to see Gurgel go too. maybe bring him in for a prelim fight every card in Cinci but other then that I have no interest in seeing him fight.

But I do think that both of these guys are much better fits in the WEC. | I don't want to see Gurgel fight again. Look at his UFC career has losses to his record against nobodys, and who has he beat? Danny Abbadi? John Halverson? I will bet anyone a one year sig bet that Cole Miller beats Gurgel.

I'd even bet Ifight for a loser leaves the boards on Miller lol. All Gurgel has is decent BJJ, he's submittable, and is only in the UFC because he is Franklin's BJJ instructor. Cole Miller comes from a better camp, has sick BJJ, and better hands.

They would have to start all the way over. | Yeah always wondered if people could take the bets to more then just sigs or avs. like I always wondered if you could bet Vbookie money, names, or rep.
