I think it will improve the sport overall, but us fans won't notice any big changes at all. Lorenzo could pretty much Veto anything management wanted to do before anyways, we will see how this one plays out.

Agreed. Lorenzo will be able to get the deals done that Dana wasn't able to due to his "personality."

Thats awesome, Dana has done a great job so far with the UFC, hopefully now Lorenzo can open the doors that Dana couldn't. Lorenzo is much more eloquent and imo would do a much better job in presenting mma to ESPN and the mainstream sports media. Also he could have a lot more luck in getting a network deal.

Any one else think that this wasnt what they were going to announce? I mean why push it back 2 weeks if all it was is this? Not to mention why make it such a big deal? I dont know, all i hope is this means a tv deal soon.

I guess we'll have to wait and see how much of a change this will make, probably won't be so obvious on the surface, but they'll probably be working a lot harder behind the scenes with expansion etc.

It was probably something else, but we will never truly know.

I actually think this is big this will help the UFC retain fighters. Which is what I think it as all about. Dana sometimes alienates people and Lorenzo will help alleviate that I would rather had it be Frank but Lorenzo is a pretty standup guy from what I have read.
