Tim Credeur vs. Cale Yarbrough booked for TUF7 Finale
by Dann Stupp on Jun 18, 2008 at 11:25 pm ET
Two-time semifinalist Tim Credeur (10-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and quarterfinalist Cale Yabrough (0-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will meet in Saturday's live finale of "The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest."
Sources close to both fighters alerted MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com) of the bout this week.
The two cast members will meet on the undercard of the live finale, which takes place at The Palms Las Vegas and airs live on Spike TV. Former UFC middleweight champion Evan Tanner meets "TUF3" champ Kendall Grove in the night's main event.
Credeur, one of the season's most veteran fighters, defeated Erik Charles, Matthew Riddle and Dan Cramer to advance to the reality show's semifinal round. However, he was eventually knocked out of the competition when Jesse Taylor defeated him via decision.
Credeur, though, would get one final shot at the finals when Taylor was kicked off the show for vandalizing a limo and harassing guests at a Las Vegas casino on the eve of his trip back home. UFC president Dana White then pitted him against fellow eliminated semifinalist C.B. Dollaway. Despite a solid effort, Credeur ultimately suffered a unanimous-decision loss.
He'll now meet Yarbrough, who defeated John Clarke and Patrick Schultz to advance to the quarterfinals, where he ultimately lost to Dollaway. Yarbrough, a champion swimmer in high school, found MMA via kickboxing. He goes to college and trains out of Georgia.

If Tim fights at the level we saw tonight... he'll beat the hell out of Cale.
I didn't know he had it in him. He gave CB everything he could handle.

I saw Cale fight here in Augusta when he was still an amateur, at LHW. He knocked out the fighter I was covering for a newspaper, a damn good natural HW, with a body kick, so the kid's got some power in his strikes.
I doubt he's got much else, though. If the Tim we saw fight CB shows up against Yarborough, Credeur takes it easily IMO.

Which is far more then Cale. Tim takes this in the 2nd via armbar.

| Tim's ground game credentials. He has a pretty good ground game.
Edit: In fact, I would say it's damn good. He's slick as hell with all thos knee bars he went for against CB, thus allowing him to stand back up. He tried to "Frank Mir" (a la Lesnar) CB several times.
